Vehicle Detail
I am the second owner of this bike. The original owner bought the 1200CLC new from BMW Orlando and had the hack installed by Hannigan about 4 years ago. He rode the beemer to Kentucky and spent a few days there while Hannigan did the install. The original owner was in his seventies and took very good care of it. I have all of the paperwork including service records. Speaking of service I just had Morton's BMW go over the whole rig before deciding to sell it to make sure there were no issues. There are none. It has all of the mileage and annual service completed including the ever popular BMW ABS disc brake service. This last service cost $1700 and included replacing the fuel sensor unit. I don't believe in selling (or buying) a pig in a poke. That's how I roll. The service tech called my rig "kick ass". The bike is in great condition overall with just two areas of oxidation, one on the triple trees and the other on chrome between the front forks. Both are inconspicuous. The sidecar was painted by Hannigan to match the BMW silver. I would call the condition of the paint near perfect for a 7 year old bike. Tires have many, many miles left on them. You could buy this bike and know that it and you could go clear across the country safely and in comfort. The Bike: R1200 CLC - standard are heated seats, heated grips, cruise control, two 12v accessory sockets, AM/FM/CD. The top trunk has a Ztecnik luggage rack (no brake light). There is a dock for a Garmin 450/550 GPS, but no GPS unit. An Autocomm Pro Sport 7 is wired to the GPS, AM/FM/CD, but there are no headsets. Both have been checked and work. There is a brand new Odyssey battery as of last month. All fluids (Synthetic oil) are new. New Cee Baileys light smoked 11' windshield. LED brake light bulb. The bike's rear tire is a car tire to better help with handling. The Hack: The CLASSIC model Hannigan sidecar, painted and installed by Hannigan with the hack's disc brake tied the the bike's brakes (quick disconnect to the bike), Electric camber control (this makes a world of difference and can be adjusted on the fly as conditions of the road change), steering damper (gets rid of any low speed front tire wobble), HUGE locking trunk, tilt top for easy in and out. Brake light to match the BMW light. Fresh air vent and tonneau cover. The sidecar has a car tire as well. The rig is for sale elsewhere and therefor the listing may be canceled if sold prior to the end of the auction. I can pick you up at Washington National, Washington Dulles or BWI airport if you fly in. If you ship the bike you will need to make all of the arrangements with a shipper. Thanks for looking. The winning bidder must have the $500 deposit completed within 48 hours. The remainder paid in full within 7 days. Cash or certified bank cashiers check (validated by the issuing institution) or cash. I know, I already said that. Please bid only if you can follow through with the transaction. Thanks.
