For sale: 1992 BMW 325ic convertible. Red exterior, tan leather interior, black soft top. 152,436 miles. Automatic, air conditioning, CD player. I bought the car nearly 5 years ago and drove it for 3 years, putting on 10,000 miles. During that time, I put nearly $6,000 into restoring it. I can provide all the receipts from Motorsport in Allston, MA, a garage that specializes in sport and vintage cars. Major tasks completed include: - timing belt - water pump - power steering rack - motor mounts - radiator - rear shocks, pads, rotors for brakes - valves adjusted - new stabilizer links - new hose - new alternator - left lower control arm - caster arm bushings - tie rods - clutch fan - window switch - glove box latch - full wheel alignment -sub frame bushings This is a great looking car and is a lot of fun. The tires and soft top were new when I bought the car. I invested heavily in the car to make it a long term keeper. I have no reason to sell it, other than my boyfriend has a similar vintage car and we are moving to a place with limited on street parking. I just can't justify keeping it. It has been stored indoors for the past 2 years. It passes safety in MA As you can see from the pictures the paint has some cracks and dings, the rugs are somewhat worn and the leather is faded. The soft top is automatic and while it goes up smoothly, characteristic of the model, it needs a slight manual adjustment sometimes when putting it down so it folds properly. Also characteristic of the model, the clock doesn't work and sometimes the "check engine" light comes on for no reason. The mechanic says it is nt a problem. One of the tires has a very slow leak.
