VEHICLE OPTIONS: Manual steering Manual drum brakes Single exhaust #'s MATCHING 283CI V8 MOTOR Stock automatic transmission on the column Stock bench seat interior Stock steel wheels with radial tires GM issued tissue dispenser (rare over-the-counter dealer option) This 1960 Impala is just a heck of a car and one of the few that I purchased just because I like the damn looks of the thing! it's a beautiful car to look at. Been trying to buy it from the previous owner for about 2 years now and finally got it. It is a very original car that has had one older repaint in the same Crocus Cream color you see in the pictures. Original interior that has never been touched with 55k miles on the odometer which are believed to be original! EXCELLENT original chrome as well. I drove the car home about 80 miles on the highway and it drove fantastic. Really nice and quiet, started at the turn of the key and ran like a swiss clock. When I got it, all I had to do was just clean it up a bit. I put back the original steel wheels and hubcaps on it as I thought it looked much nicer with them and did minor detailing, that's it. Interior is in VERY GOOD original condition. Seats are very nice with only a couple of seam splits. Carpet is a bit faded but very presentable. Door panels are very nice. Dash is nicely painted. Headliner is almost spotless. Overall a beautifully presentable "time capsule" style driver quality interior. Under the hood lies the stock Matching Numbers 283ci/170hp 2bbl. motor with stock automatic transmission on the column. The car was ordered from the factory with basically no options, which is relatively rare. Stock open rear end with highway gears and it's just a blast to cruise down the highway in this beautiful car. Brakes well. Steers very nice and handles the road well for a big car like this. I've driven it on the highway and around town and can't stop smiling every time I do it. Underside seems VERY SOLID. Good frame rails. Floors appear to be in good shape with no significant issues. Trunk is very nice and solid as well with no surprises and just a hint of surface rust under the mat. I have the small moldings in front of the fender for both sides, as well as a set of new repro fender skirts that go with the car. Being an old car, it is NOT perfect by any means. Paint shines up VERY WELL with good luster for a nice driver but it has various imperfections as you would expect from use. When the bodyshop painted it, they could have taken a bit more time in a few spots as you can see some sand marks and other small issues up close. Panel fit is a little off on the hood and fenders but then again it wasn't perfect from the factory either. From 10-15 feet away the car looks amazing. Missing one impala emblem on the side. Some filler cracks by trunk lock and under the rear bumper. That's about all I was able to notice. It may need a few other tiny things as any other used car, so please keep that in mind.
