The MGB was originally designed to accept the Rover 3.5 Litre Aluminum Block V8. In 1973 there were several thousand MGB-GT's made with the Rover V-8 and sold in England. In 1974 however, British Leyland killed the project fearing reduced Triumph TR8 sales. This conversion was made using the intended engine, transmission, and suspension modifications necessary to match MG's 1973 V8 GT's. This car was virtually new after the 2006 restoration and conversion and has been driven 3700 miles since that time with 52188 before restoration miles. This is one of the best V8 conversions in the US.
