1955 Buick Special 56K original miles. Up for auction, we have a very nice 1955 Buick Special 2 door hard top. I purchased this car 3 years ago. It was in the same family since it was new. Car came from Arkansas and is totally rust free and always garaged. Car has been totally serviced stem to stern with new brakes, shocks, tires, and axle seals in the rear. I performed a tune up with breaker-less ignition, front seal, belts, hoses etc. The paint was not up to snuff so we decided to do a frame off cosmetic restore. Frame was painted, body prepped and painted white in 2 stage, color sanded and polished. Car was reassembled with new body mounts, most trim was polished and reinstalled. Car starts, runs, drives and stops excellently. Chrome is good driver quality with some flaking on the bottom of the rear bumper, and front bumper has some flashing on the left bullet - see pics. Wipers converted to electric and generator changed to a one wire alternator. Windshield has a small cats eye - see pic. Front seat could use a new fabric insert. Stitching is just starting to separate on the passenger side. Car has rear heat that works too. This would make someone a very nice touring car. Serious bidders call for Dale 540-740-8008.
