Vehicle Detail
Up for bids is this 1995 Jeep Wrangler. I am the 2nd owner but never drove it. It is a clear "A" title. I bought the Jeep last summer from a friend of mine with intentions of keeping it, but right now I can't afford 2 vehicles as I need a larger one for work. It is in very good condition and has only 78,685 miles. These are the original miles, because the previous owner only used this to commute to work. This Jeep is all stock and not modified in any way. The engine is a 6 cylinder, 4.0 high output fuel injection. I just changed the oil, and the motor runs smooth in excellent condition. I installed new front steering universals, new rotors, front brakes, and new rear brake lines. The body is in good condition as far as rust. There's light rot on the driver side fender, below the rear tailgate hinge, and also on the passenger side body as seen in the pictures. The driver side fender flare has a kink in it. The entire floor inside is good except for the driver side. Here there is rot where the rubber drain plugs were in the floor. The passenger side is o.k., but the driver side has about a 2'' hole. I wire brushed, primered, and painted around this to neutralize the rust, but a patch will most likely be needed in the future. See the pictures. The paint on the Jeep is in pretty good condition. It has some minor scratches and the hood has some blemishes from age, but this Jeep was not used off-road. The frame had some light surface rust, but I removed it and had the frame painted. The frame is solid and has no rot. The interior of the Jeep is very clean. All the plastic and vinyl such as the dash is good and not cracked. The seats are original and are soiled lightly, but most likely will clean like new or can be covered. All the original carpet and mats are in place and like new. The radio is factory cassette, and there is an overhead soundbar with dome light. The steering column is tilt wheel. The top is original and in good shape for it's age. There are no tears or holes and it does not leak. The zippers work. The windows have dulled with age, but this is normal. The spare tire and rim was missing, but I've included a factory steel rim for a spare. The 4 other rims are aluminun alloy factory wheels. The tires have some life left. 1 tire does have more wear than the other 3 though. The Jeep is not inspected because I don't want to waste the money on the inspection, registration, and insurance, since I'm selling it. The only thing it needs to pass inspection is an exhaust. There is a muffler on it, but the inside of the muffler is shot. You can here it rattle when driving it. The only thing the Jeep needs is a muffler, but it looks like it may need shocks just by looking at them. 1995 was the last year the YJ's were manufactured, and there's very few left with low mileage like this one. I knew the previous owner, and he took great care of it. I believe I have described all it's defects, but feel free to contact me with any questions. The Jeep needs some minor repairs, but any investments into it is well worth it.
