Vehicle Detail
The item for sale is a 1965 (1964 1/2) Ford Mustang Convertible from my father’s estate. The VIN indicates that is was produced in Dearborn on May 23, 1964. It is a beautiful Caspian Blue, dark like new levi’s. It has a light blue and white “pony” interior. It is a very clean car and a very nice driver just as it is. The body panels are very straight. It has a 289 cubic inch V-8 that starts, runs and drives well. It has a four speed manual transmission with a Hurst shifter. The transmission shifts well. The car has no power steering or power brakes. The interior is clean and intact but shows some wear. The exterior has been nicely repainted some time ago and shows well. There is one small bleb of rust on the rear deck near a convertible top snap. The painted surfaces are bright and very smooth and look very nice. The underbody, rocker panels and wheel wells appear to be free of rust or damage. The chrome is bright and the metal straight. The glass is good and the window operators work. The power top and back window are in good shape and the electric top works well. The exhaust system is solid and sounds great. The odometer shows 80,600 miles. This is the original “muscle car” and it lives up to it’s name.On May-15-10 at 09:40:36 PDT, seller added the following information:I just realized that I entered an incorrect VIN for the vehicle. The correct VIN is 5F07D144849 both on the data plate and on the fender apron. It has a body ID of 76A indicating a convertible.
