Vehicle Detail
toddajohnson11 Store Description Our Family has enjoyed this fantastic 1967 Galaxie 500 2 door convertible at the Grand Haven MI state beach here each summer! Now our loss is your chance to own some history. It is a 3 owner. The Galaxie runs great. It looks good, shifts great and feels very powerful. It has been garaged during winters and very few miles have been put on it over the last few years. It has a newer AM/FM/CD Stereo with removable faceplate and newer mobile speakers under the front seat and set on the rear seat. The Red on Red is a great color combination, and the car has a fun lov'n look that captures everyone's eye. This Galaxie has PS, PB, bench seats , it is an automatic with a black top and a glass rear window. The top goes up and down and locks into place(it has a couple small tears and needs a better nut and bolt in one spot), all the windows are good and go up and down. The previous owner put in glass packs for a rumbling sound. Some brake lines were redone and stops on a dime. It has just had the C6 Cruise-a-matic transmission serviced, new gasket and shifter seals, it starts up and runs great, no smoker, good battery, good tires, undercarriage solid, suspension works fine, no major repairs have been done on it that I know of, there are some repairable vinyl tears in the front driver's seat and behind the drivers seat along with some small tears on the driver's side of the top, the paint is sun faded and the dash pad is cracked in spots, but the brakes are newer and work good, and all in all, this car is a powerful feel'n and look'n'’ ‘67 Galaxie 500 ragtop that is made for a great time. THIS AUCTION IS NO RESERVE. SOMEONE NEW WILL OWN THIS CAR AT THE END OF THIS AUCTION!! For history buffs: It has a VIN of 7G57H201668. I believe the VIN of 7G57H201668 breaks down as follows: 7 = model year: 1967 G = build plant: Chicago, Illinois 57 = Body Serial Code: Galaxie 500 2-door convertible, bench seat (19,068 produced during the 1967 model year) H = engine: 390-2V Thunderbird V-8, 275 hp @ 4400 rpm, 405 ft-lbs @ 2600 rpm, 9.5:1 compression ratio (automatic transmission) 201668 = Consecutive Unit Number (CUN): 1668th car scheduled to be built at Chicago, build plant during the 1967 model year. On May-09-10 at 12:54:16 PDT, seller added the following information:Some answers to questions posed on other double listing (sorry for confusion): The car is garaged right now. I will try to get more pictures up by Tuesday..people requested engine pic, undercarriage, trunk, etc. I drove it last week a half hour without any problems. I have driven it 90 miles north and then back and no problems, so I think it would be fine to go 150 miles. However, if you want an inspection, I would be happy to take it to someone local for you to be sure. It is a 1967...so you never know how far it can go, but, based on what I know about the car, I think it would be fine. It is your risk once it is bought though. The information on the tag on the door reads: Body 76A; Color T; Trim 6D; Date 27C; DSO 35; Axle 8; and Trans U. Hope this helps. On May-09-10 at 16:33:33 PDT, seller added the following information:I forgot to mention that the gas gauge does not work perfectly. When you fill gas tank completely it only shows up to a quarter tank and then slowly goes down to empty. It is odd, but easy to figure out generally. On May-11-10 at 11:39:10 PDT, seller added the following information:I could not figure out how to get more pictures on ebay so here is a link to more pictures of engine, trunk, spare, underneath and some hubcaps....I have two originals and several others that have been used. I do not think there are foiur that are alike. All of them go with the car.
