1973 Postal Jeep This was a frame off restoration. The drivetrain is from a 1976 postal jeep, as this was the best year for these Jeeps. It currently does not run but the motor/trans were rebuilt. The electrical and fuel system needs to installed. I welded new floors pans. I also did a correct front drum to disc brake conversion. The rear axle (offset dana 44) is also from 1976 as it came with the 11' drums over the 10' that comes with the 1973 model. I have around 1000$ or more into the frame alone.( NEW SHOCKS, TIE RODS, LEAF SPRINGS) Also ALL lights except the headlights are LED's. Go price that out. The body and frame were stripped down to bare metal acid washed and bare metal primer was used. The frame was painted in POR 15 as was the underside of the body. But some of the rust has returned, it is almost impossible to stop it on these Jeeps. There is also some sun damage to the paint on the hood as well. All the parts are either NEW or rebuilt that are currently on and off the Jeep. There are a TON of extra parts that will go with her, so bring a truck and trailer. This project was to be used on my route as I am a rural carrier for the post office, but our office received LLV's, so I no longer have need for her. Also my friend who was helping me on the project died in Nov 09 so my heart is no longer in the project. Just want her out of my yard. CASH ONLY AND I HAVE TITLE IN HAND. SOLD AS IS. NO WARRANTY!
