Vehicle Detail
1975 Corvette Stingray Coupe, V8,Automatic,PS,PB,AC T-Tops, I am selling this vette due to worsening back problems that is preventing me from working on my cars. This vette runs good. It has only been driven limited miles over the last 3 yrs while being worked on. I had it out last week on the highway @ 65-70 mph with no issues. Since it has not been driven that much it really should be trailered home. I would want you to check it out before any long road trip. Here is what was done to it. NEW PARTS- front brakes, rotors, calipers, pads, hoses, bearings, battery, 4 shocks, radiator, starter, fuel pump, fuel tank sender, heater core, stabilizer links/bushings, turn signal switch, neutral safety switch, ignition switch, new carpet (bright sun in pics makes it look gray), new seat foam & covers, 2 dash speakers.I also have these new parts, 2 door panels, 2 door lock cyl's & keys, underhood insulation, rear corvette lettering. Used parts to install- radiator shroud, chrome ignition shields. All glass is good, tires have less than 1,000 miles on them, all gauges work except the clock & temp (maybe sender). all lights work except headlights do not come up & down(i hear a vacume leak by switch). wipers work, original working AM/FM Stereo radio(no knobs), All the AC components are there and the compressor spins freely it just doesn't come on.The car runs good & strong, it is a little hard cold idling until it warms up (choke issues) I have another carb which may be NOS with electric choke. I can see no collision damage, there are a few scratches on the right front fender from a rake falling on it (in pictures), It will need a paint job, past paint was not clear coated and there was some flaking. These spots were sanded and touched up with dupli-color can spray but since it is not the original paint color it was a close match. It looks better than the flaking areas did and if wet sanded will look a little better (in pictures). The original paint code is 22 Bright Blue, Interior code 192 black. The wheels were blasted, primed and painted silver. The car has true dual exhaust without the catalytic converters (nice low rumble) I have it titled as an Antique in NJ as it will not pass NJ inspection without the converters. I have a clear NJ title in my name. I encourage all potential buyers to come see and test drive it. With a little finishing work and better paint this will be one cool summer ride! I reserve the right to end this auction at any time. The car is also 4 sale locally. I require a $500 non-refundable deposit via PayPal within 48 hrs and the balance in cash at pickup within 10 days. If arranged in advance I can hold the car for 21 days if paid in full by a certified bank check. If you choose this option the check must clear both banks before the car leaves my possession. Do not expect to send me a check a week before pickup and expect the check to clear completely. Please do not bid if you are not sure or do not have the money or do not agree to these terms. I can't wait for loans etc. I will have to report any non paying buyers. The car has no warranty expressed or implied, All transportation arrangements and costs are the responsibility of the buyer. I have tried to describe this car to the best of my ability. It is a used car 35 years old and is sold as is. That said, bid to own and enjoy a reasonably priced classic muscle car for the summer! Good Luck and Thanks for looking! On May-07-10 at 17:16:49 PDT, seller added the following information: I checked the engine pad stamping for another member and the last 6 digits of the vin # match the stamping. Since the 5th digit of the vin is a "J" this is the original L48 engine. Also we went to put the last of the interior in, the two front kick panels and found that we have 2 driver side panels. We installed the one but we do not have the other side. I will give the buyer the duplicate and you can sell or trade to get the passenger side one. I just want to be upfront. There is nothing else missing from the interior that I know of.
