This is a 1948 Ford F-6 C.O.E. Cab Over Engine Truck. It has the original Flat Head Six Cylinder Engine, Standard Transmission and Two Speed Rear End. I have a Clear Indiana Title for this the Truck. This Truck was used as a Fire Engine and had a Pump and Hose Rig on it. The Fire Equipment has been removed and is no longer with the truck. The engine, transmission and rear end appear to be original. This Truck's Engine is not running. I was told that it has been running, in the last five years, but who knows? It will have to be towed home on a trailer. I brought this home on a heavy duty automobile trailer. It is long. The body has some dents, dings and rust, but the cab corners look pretty good and most of the body is solid. I tried to post good pictures showing the true condition of the truck. The paint is old and worn and has that patina that all of the Rat Rodders are looking for. The Door still has the lettering from the Fire Department, but it is faded. The glass is broken in the passenger side door, but is good on the rest of the truck. The doors and hood open and close properly. The odometer reads 96574 miles. This may be correct. This truck was probably stored inside when in used by the Fire Department. It has been outside as long as I have known about it. I think the truck was originally yellow but painted red a long time ago. On the other hand, it could have been red and painted yellow. The COE trucks are rare and getting very hard to find. This would make such a cool looking hot rod pickup or rat rod, by Shortening the frame and adding a pickup bed. This would also be a great body for a Rollback Wrecker. This truck will not fit on a standard car trailer. I may be able to deliver this truck within a few hundred miles of Canton, Ohio, for a fee. I have another one of these trucks, also for sale.
