1997 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA TDI LOW MILES 97300 5 SPEED I purchased a couple years ago with a prior salvaged title an put an Golf front end on it (bumper hood grille) then painted the car black it was white. I also installed a front mount intercooler (huge gain) and had Inmotion tuning www.inmotionusa.com chip the pcm and put the .218 injector nozzles in it (lots of smoke on hard acceleration) and also a stage IV clutch, (the stock slipped after mods). Inmotion Tuning said with the stage II it would be a 13 sec. car in the quarter mile. The car get 38-40 mpg on pump diesel, about 450-500 miles to a tank, and rides like a large sedan. The vehicle is due for a 100K service was always going to due for age but now its due for mileage. I got the car with 59000 miles and since then the check engine light has been on for a glow plug code, and the engine has leaked oil. and it has always had an intermittent misfire at part-light throttle. The car has always started even at -20 temps The paint on the car looks ok from a distance but it is no show car there is runs in in the clear coat and chips through out the car. The air bags have been deployed. the tires are a 215/35/18 and are about 50%. The a/c needs charged every season look like it is leaking at the expansion block o rings. I have purchased every item needed to converter this car to a 2 tank Waste Vegetable Oil system, but never did it since all our other vehicles are converted this never gets driven. If you would like i can install the items, fill it up for you and let you drive home up to 1500 miles with no fuel cost, for any additional $1000. This car is not new, and it is a Prior Salvage title so please dont expect a perfect machine it has its issues as mentioned above, but yet still turns heads and gets attention.
