Bank Repossession for Sale. The seller holds a Repossessed Title issued by the State of Missouri Department of Revenue. CAVEAT EMPTOR is the motto for this auction. If you are not sure as to the translation of that wonderful old Latin phrase, it is "Let the buyer beware". This Explorer is being sold for a small community bank in eastern Missouri. This Explorer was initially towed in. The borrower disclosed that the water pump is failing and that the brakes are bad. A local mechanic has confirmed both of those assertions stating that with respect to the water pump it is so loose that the fan oscillates. The car starts and can be driven on to your tow dolly or trailer, but given the condition of the water pump I would not recommend attempting to drive the car home. I have not driven the car, I cannot make any representations as to its road worthiness, ride attributes or the quality of its sound system. I do not know if the four wheel drive system works properly. In the pictures you can see that the tires are well worn, but are probably adequate for loading onto a trailer or tow dolley for transport home. The leather seats are intact, showing normal wear for a car of this mileage. The center consol on the other hand shows excessive wear / abuse with a ripped top cover. The electric seats appear to work in all adjustments. On balance the interior is very clean for a car of this age. The grill has a significant chip as shown in the photographs. The chrome wheels show considerable tarnish. In one photo you can see the grooving in the brake rotor/disc. The presence of a 1 7/8 inch tow ball on the back bumper would indicate that this Explorer was used to tow a trailer. The passenger exterior mirror appears to have been utilized as an early warning device for a bridge abutment. It is cleanly broken off at the swivel mount. This car is either the beginning or the end of a project, depending on what you bring to the party. When consideration is given for a basically straight body that can be dressed up, a reasonably intact interior (aside from he consol problem) the scales have to balance in greater favor to the Project aspect, rather than being a source of Parts for said project. This Explorer could be the first car for a teenager, a fishing vehicle, or a combo daily driver and trail crawler. This Explorer is being sold "AS IS, WHERE IS" with no warranties expressed or implied. The information given in this description is the best information available to the seller. No additional inference should be made. Purchasing a repossessed vehicle always involves an element of risk, but so does rock climbing, skydiving and eating raw shell fish. It is up to you the bidder to determine your tolerance for risk based upon the skills you possess to maximize your potential rewards. The buyer is responsible for pickup, transport and delivery following the sale. The Explorer is located in Union, Missouri, approximately 60 miles from downtown St. Louis. Payment will be remitted by Cashiers’ Check, Fed Wire or of course CASH. Seller holds a Repossessed Title issued by the State of Missouri Department of Revenue which will be transferred to the buyer upon clearing of good funds. Arrangements to take possession can be made upon clearing of good funds, or if you pay cash, you can bring your trailer or tow dolly with you . THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION. Bid early, bid often, and good luck.
