Original Studebaker 1964 Avanti R1 coupe that was one of the last off of the Studebaker assembly line. The car is in overall excellent condition with all original almost perfect interior. The dash is crack free with no fading. The paint is in good condition with only a few very small blemishes which are shown in the pictures. New black carpet with dynomat sound dampener installed. Cold R12 A/C works extremely well for even the hottest summer days. New stereo is located in the glove box so no dash cutting has ever been done. Original stereo (may not work), is still in the dash. This car is highly optioned for 1964 with tilt wheel, power windows and am/fm radio. The original front brakes have been upgraded to a Turner disk system with dual master cylinder. New stainless custom Studebaker mufflers for that original deep mellow sound. As shown, the hog troughs are original and virtually rust free which is rare for this model the frame is fine. The front bumper is in excellent condition but the rear has a small amount of surface rust, (see picture)The valve covers and air cleaner also have some minor surface rust. (see picture) New 16" tires and American Racing Torque Thrust wheels. All gauges work well except the clock. The original 289 is leak free and runs great and the transmission shifts perfectly.
