THIS IS A THREE DAY AUCTION!!! BIKE NEEDS TO BE PICKED UP!!! MOVING!!! ATTENTION: If you have less than 3 feedback or are new to ebay, please contact me before bidding. Failure to contact me will result in your bid being canceled. IMPORTANT: Notice the rain drops in the pics. This bike was NOT kept in the rain. I brought it to its current location one week ago, where it’s been kept under a new cover, but before that it was kept in a garage, completely removed from the elements. When I was taking the pics, it started sprinkling, and the bike was only uncovered for a couple minutes. This was the only chance I had to borrow a camera, so I had to take it. It was immediately wiped down and re-covered. I am selling another bike on ebay as well, an 83 Honda Magna v65, which is in great condition and is in the same location. Check out both auctions (they will end at around the same time): Up for sale is a garage kept 1987 Suzuki Intruder VS1400 with just over 8k on the clock and a clear Connecticut title. The original owner’s manual is also included, along with the full shop manual, jetted carbs that were bought but not installed for they were not needed, new clutch rings, which were also not needed and nice leather bag. The engine size is 1400cc. This bike is big and loud; it looks and sounds like a Harley. There is very minor rusting mostly around the spokes. It is clean and shiny and has brand new tires and— well look at the pics. This bike is powerful! I’m selling this bike for a friend who does not want the hassle of selling a bike and does not have the time to show it to buyers. I will show it to anyone who wants to come check it out. The carbs were just synced last year and the oil changed, but the carbs need a little cleaning. Syncing them, I assure you, is the hard part, but to clean them all you need to do is run some C-foam through the system ($15), and if you know how to do it or want to learn (I included the full shop manual), it’s not that hard, and if you don’t feel like it, a mechanic will do it for less than an hour’s labor. It also needs a new battery. This one, if charged, will be good for a few starts but, it’s the original battery, and the bottom line is it needs to be replaced. A new, “good” battery is $70 for this bike, but a Wal-Mart one is much cheaper. Basically what I’m saying is the bike runs great now, but for 50-100 bucks, depending on what battery you want and if you want to run the C-foam through yourself or have a mechanic do it, you will have a beautiful, low miles, near-classic of a bike that looks like it just came out of a time-capsule, except of course for its lack of Suzuki graphics on the tank. Paint is aftermarket, just because my friend, for whom I’m selling this bike, wanted to get rid of the Suzuki theme so it looked more like a Harley. I drove it from his house to its current location (about 30 miles), and it gave me no trouble; it ran great except for some misfiring due to the dirty carbs. The bike is on the road currently and ran perfectly last year, but it sat in a garage all winter, and when a bike does that the carbs get gummed up and need a solvent to get them working again at optimum; that is all. It’s in excellent condition otherwise, and rides and shifts great. It also has a brand new clutch, which did not need the rings that my friend bought for the repair (that’s why they are included as extra with the auction), but it does need to be bled out (It shifts fine, but until the clutch is bled, the lever needs to be pumped a couple times before you have the pressure you need) *see shop manual on how to bleed the clutch; it’s an easy adjustment but I don’t have tools or time. The title is clear, and bike is garage-kept. No scratches! No dents! Seat is immaculate! The bike’s location is Storrs, CT. That’s where it will need to be picked up from, and where it can be viewed by appointment. Please look carefully at pics; they are honest and will tell you what kind of bike you're looking at. This is a relist due to a non-paying bidder. Don't bid if you're not sure you want it. Thanks. Call me with any questions (203) 745-7072, my name is Bryan. If I can’t pick up, just leave a message, and I’ll get right back to you. Payment is cash at pickup. On May-03-10 at 13:53:12 PDT, seller added the following information: Just a quick note: I noticed today a secluded patch of rust I wanted to mention just to keep the auction honest. It's not visible in the pictures, but, in the third picture down, the section of the exhaust pipe all the way to the right, a few inches down from where it comes out of the engine, there is some rust on the back side of that pipe. It is very hard to see plainly, which is why I didn't notice it until now, but today I was wiping the bikes down and noticed it. The patch does not affect the appearence or function of the bike, as it is on the backside of the pipe and is not in a vital area.On May-03-10 at 13:56:55 PDT, seller added the following information: Actually, you can kind of see it, and it is really not bad; I just felt I should mention it. GOOD LUCK!
