Vehicle Detail
Just in time for spring. Let me present to you my 2000 Mitshibshi Eclipse. I bought the car from a woman in her late 20’s because I knew the car was well kept and well maintained and she was the 1st and only owner of the car. I took the car and have done to it what you see now. It was a Father Son venture but my Son backed out after it was already started, so I went ahead and finished it anyway. Body Kit is not one of the cheap ones you see that are real thin and not well made. It is a "Torque" kit, front back and side skirts, from VIS Racing. I had the kit Prepped, Painted Base coat Clear coat and put on the car by a very good and long time friend of mine. He has a 70k dollar Binks downdraft paint booth and paint is a prefect match to the paint that’s already on the car. His place of business is "Cooper Auto of Berks" You can look him up on the net and see he has been in business a long time and does not fool around with cheapie deals like other painters who’s names I will not say. The car was not skimped on and was built to last not fall apart like most others you see pieces falling off them the year after they were finished. I also had them put on a custom dual outlet exhaust system which is also emissions compliant. I went over the car and anything that needed to be replaced or fixed, which wasn’t very much. I replaced the amp and the speakers in the car with a Pyramid PB-180PX 300 watt amp and Boss 600w 6x9"s in the rear and 300w 6 1/2"s in the doors. I kept the Infinity system in the car cause it worked fine and it has a 6 cd changer in it. I put on the Dual Halo Headlights and Led Tail Lights on the car both smoked tint. I put halo fog lights on the car also. It also has a Neon License Plate Light on it that I painted to match the car and so the Neon can’t be seen from the rear of the car. All the wiring was done by me and is all wired with plug ends so everything can be removed and replaced if need be. What I am trying to say is everything was not spliced in and you would have to go threw hell if you wanted to take something off or wanted to change things around. The wheels and tires are American Racing chrome 19" with 235/35ZR19 tires. It needed spark plug wires so I put on 10.2 mm Vision Racing wires and NGK G-Power Platinum Spark Plugs and while I was at it I also put on a Cold Air Chrome Intake system too. The car is very nice and fun to drive. As you can see it is a real head turner and I get thumbs up and are told "Nice Car" where ever I go. It looks like if the factory was going to make a custom GT I am sure this is what it would like. I am not out of a job nor am I hurting for money, but this is what I do. I customize cars and the next one is waiting to be started and this is the only reason this is for sale. I have kept the car a little over a year and have not put many miles on it. If it was totally up to me Id keep this one for myself but as soon as I put this in the shop and got going on it, my daily driver took a crap on me and I bought a new rx8. So its time to let it go and move on to the next project. The car is 10 years old and does show some signs or normal wear. There is a small wear mark on drivers seat from getting in and out of car, nothing a set of seat covers will not cover. The rear seats fold down and it looks like she had something loaded into the car and a small tear is on the back of the one seat. I had a paintless dent repair guy go over the whole car and any small imperfections on the body where taken out. There are 2 small dents above the rear wheel wells that looks like someone hit the car with their car door while parked aside of it and the repair guy could not get to them to take them out. Mr. Cooper told me that they were small enough not to worry about fixing them so I left them be. You can see how small they are with the pics i posted. If Chrome wheels are not your thing, I have the stock wheels and tires that came on the car and can change them back on the car and take off $500.00 from the winning bid or the buy it now price if you prefer. The wheels are chrome so the normal inter wheel pitting from heat is there and of course you have to take care of chrome wheels unlike painted ones so cleaning and polishing of said wheels is a must. This set of wheels and tires will fit on my RX8 so I have no problem if you decide not to take them. All items that where taken off car I still have also. So if there is anything that you would like to come with the car so you can put them back on car if you like will come with said car. Just let me know after auction has ended and I will make sure you get said items at time of pick-up or ship. Last pic posted in this Auction is what the car looked like before i started and those are the Wheels and Tires you will recieve if you do not want the Crome wheels. Everything I have presented in this auction is to the best of my ability and I am a 49 year old man and have been customizing cars since I was 15 years old. Everything on and in this car works and if I overlooked anything it was by pure mistake. Please ask before you bid and I will answer any questions to the best of my ability. The car is being sold "as is "and the RX8 that you see in any of the pictures is not included as part of this auction. Please do not bid if you don’t have the money available at end of auction. Will help coordinate with shipping, cross countryOn May-04-10 at 11:14:31 PDT, seller added the following information: I have recieved alot of e-mails and thank you all for all the interest in my car. One of the main questions was about the Timing Belt and has it been changed. I called my mechanic and asked if there is any way I can find out if it has been changed and he said no unless I have a recite that states it has been done. So knowing now what could happen to my ride I will be having this checked and if need be replaced. It was to be done at 70k miles and there no way of telling without it being checked, so I will be having it replaced. Cost is only about 250 bucks to have this done and Id rather spend that then have something happen to the car. So yes the Timing Belt will be check and taken care of before the car goes anywhere.
