Vehicle Detail

This is a custom 84 Vette for sale. Besides the obvious ground effects and wide body rear, the front and rear bumpers are fiberglass, not urethane that are on the stock ones. It has a new fully balanced and blueprinted 0.030 over stroker motor in this car, with less than 10 hours. The motor has forged TRW pistons, (9.5-1) with perfect circle rings, Melling oil pump, Cloe double roller timing chain. The heads are Edelbrock Torquer 2 heads, Cam shaft is a Crane hydraulic roller cam, HIR series, which is the one with the inverted flanks. Other components are; the crank which is a 400 crank that was internal balanced, new Centerforce dual pressure clutch, ARP engine bolts, custom SLP S.S. tri-Y headers, Supertrap Super system exhaust. The transmission is the Doug Nash 4+3, (with short throw shifter), the overdrive was rebuilt when the motor was put in the car. There is a nitrous kit for the throttle body injection that was never used on this motor that I will supply with the car. The cam is a Crane hydraulic roller, (custom ground), part #11HIR0039, with a 1.5 ratio rocker arms, intake lift @ valve is .470, exhaust @ valve .490. Because you have inverted flanks on the cam the valves stay open for a longer duration with very little overlap which builds torque. The cam shaft alone with out lifters was $500 wholesale, in addition to the hydraulic roller lifters. This cam was recommended by Crane for this setup. The car is equipped with 13" front disc brakes, urethane bushings on everything with the exception of the rear struts that are heim joints. It has been lowered with custom fiberglass springs including a rear dual mount spring arrangement. Front sway bar is off of a corvette challenge car, (32 mm) and the rear bar has been set up in conjunction with the rear dual mount for a neutral handling car. Shocks are low pressure hyper charged Carrera shocks. Wheels are "89 ZR1 prototype rims that were never put on a production car; 17 x 9.5 in the front and 17 x 11 in the rear. Car with new race compound tires is capable of cornering in the 1.1G range. Car was set-up to run Auto-cross, although it was a lot of fun on the street. The interior is the original that came with the car plus the teak dash that is shown. I also have a burl-wood dash kit that I will throw in as well. The carpet needs to be replaced as well as the rubber molding, but the seats are in good shape. The car has been stored inside for almost the whole last 10 years. This car was professionally built and set-up. It has been in magazines and is a product of when I was in the Corvette after market business. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Note this car has been sitting for the last 6 years and not been started, so care must be taken before starting the motor. There is less than 10 hours on the motor. Car is sold as is. We can help you with shipping if required, however buyer will be responsible for all costs before shipment. A down payment will be required within 48 hours of bid ending with full amount due within 7 days after that. I retain the right to cancel this auction at any time because the car is for sale locally.
