1983 Porsche 944 No Reserve Pickup only We bought this car in 2002 and drove it home and got it inspected and drove it for a few days and it just stopped running. It would crank but not turn over. We replaced an air boot and spark plug & wires but no luck. We had a mechanic friend work on it for a while he replaced the head gasket and machined the heads flat and it still would not start. We are Porsche illiterate so it got parked in the yard. The odometer says 75,550 but there is no spot for hundred thousand so it is likely it is 175,550 but no way to know for sure. Clear coat coming off all over. Dash is cracked. Seams undone on front seats but has seat covers. Rear view mirror off. We are the owners and have clear title. We have a Haynes repair manual that will go with it :). The tires are flat but will hold air for a while. There are a couple dings and rust spots and a hole behind passenger front tire. Probably can be towed a short distance but suggest a flat bed or something if out of state and just to be safe for any distance. I took new pictures today (4-29-10) and I have to say the pictures look better than the car does in my opinion. But I guess it is in pretty good shape compared to a lot of cars that have been sitting around for years. The last 3 pics are 2 yrs old because there was a bee and I wasn't going to go in there. It looks the same except the steering wheel or cover is more ratty. When my husband takes care of the bee, I will take newer pics of the inside. Parts are expensive and this car is worth a lot if parted out or a good place to start if restoring. No reserve, we just want it out of the yard. Pick up only, NO SHIPPING Available.
