Vehicle Detail
I respectfully request that you read the entire item description prior to bidding and/or asking questions. This auction is for a 2000 Nissan Maxima SE that is in absolutely EXTRAORDINARY condition with 102,997 miles as shown. This is my wife's car that we purchased brand new in 2000. She is a school teacher and she drives it back and forth to school. The only other use that the car has seen in the last 10 years is an occasional use by both of us on the weekends. When not in use, the car is in the garage which includes most of the last ten summers. Being a school teacher, she does not work in the summer. Therefore, the car has been in the garage a majority of the hot Texas summers which protects the finish and interior. The only reason that we are selling the car is because we have recently purchased a new one. With the following text and a multitude of pictures, I will let you know why I believe this might be one of the nicest automobiles on eBay that is 10 years old with 100K miles. We are not smokers and no smokers have ever been allowed in the car. We do not have children, and I can nearly count on my hands the number of times anyone has been in the back seat. After purchasing the car, we had the highest grade window tint installed, and it looks as good as the day that it was installed. As you can see in the pictures, I have the original window sticker, the original dealer's brochure, and the complete owner's manual. I have the original two keys with both remotes and the valet key. Please see the picture of the original window sticker for a complete list of options. I have all documentation for any major work that was performed on the car other than the work done by me. I change my own oil and I religiously changed the oil and filter every 5,000 miles with Mobil 1 5W/30 pure synthetic oil. It was just changed a few hundred miles ago. Trip odometer B shows the mileage since the last oil change. The transmission fluid looks new. Absolutely every item works properly on the car (power windows, power locks, driver side power seat (the passenger seat is manual), sunroof with multiple functions, radio/CD/cassette, A/C, heat)We had an XM radio receiver professionally installed and it works properly. It comes with a remote control (see pictures). If you want to receive XM radio, you will have to enroll and pay their monthly fee. If you would rather not have the XM feature, the unit and antenna can be removed. I made sure they made no permanent modifications when installing it. It is held on with two pieces of Velcro. Therefore, if you removed the unit, the car would look just like it came from the factory. The car has never been wrecked. The rear bumper cover has been replaced because I backed into a dumpster at 5 mph, and I could not stand the small damage. In addition, the rear bumper cover was recently repainted because we let the garage door down without pulling the car in the garage far enough, and the garage door scratched it (my wife said she could hardly see the scratch, but it drove me crazy). The person that does my body work is the best that I know in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. I hand wax the car about 4 times a year and have been doing so for the last 10 years. This car has been great with no problems, other than parts that wear out. I had the following items replaced for me by a professional foreign car mechanic using only genuine Nissan and/or OEM parts:- Brake Job at 67K miles- Transmission Serviced at 67K miles - Starter replaced at 79K miles- Ignition Coil Packs replaced at 79K miles- Left and Right Side Drive Axles replaced at 93K miles- Front Struts Mounts and Bellows replaced at 93K miles- Coolant Flush at 94K miles - O2 sensors all replaced at 101K milesI put on a new set of Goodyear Eagle GT tires at 92K miles, and they were rotated and balanced one month ago. The car has a timing chain rather than a belt, and my mechanic told me that it does not need to be replaced at this time as do most of the Japanese made cars with timing belts. There is a light dent in the hood and two light dents in the fuel door. I was about to have them removed by a paintless dent repair shop for $75, but we decided to buy a new car. They are so light that I do not believe they will show up in the pictures, but they bothered me. There are two very small dings in the windshield that I believe could be patched with the new resin method that is currently being used by the glass shops, but they are so small I did not mess with having it done. There are some very small chips on the front bumper cover and the front of the hood from road debris, but there are very few (see pictures). The interior is near flawless (see pictures). There is a very small amount of wear on the left side of the driver's seat and on the driver's door arm rest. There are a few coffee stains on the carpet below the mats on the front and rear passenger side carpet (my wife the teacher likes coffee). I believe they could be removed by a professional cleaning service, but since they are under the mats, they do not show. At this time, everything works perfectly on the car. However, the car is 10 years old with 102K miles. Therefore, the car is being SOLD AS-IS with no WARRANTY. I feel strongly that this car could last for a very long time if properly cared for (as I have done). Please review the pictures as they describe the car much better than words. I think you would be very hard pressed to find a nicer car on eBay that is 10 years old with 102K miles! As with all of the items that I sell on eBay, I have started the bidding with no reserve. Therefore, the highest bidder wins the auction. PLEASE NOTE: I will only accept cash in person, a cashier's check on a major bank in person, or Paypal for payment (no exceptions). A $500 deposit is required within 48 hours of the end of the auction (Paypal is preferred, but a USPS money order will also work). Please do not bid on this auction if you have a zero feedback rating. Otherwise, I will cancel your bid and permanently block your user name (no exceptions). If these terms are a problem, please do not bid. ABSOLUTELY NO INTERNATIONAL BIDS will be accepted (including Canada). If you are not registered with eBay in the United States, you will not be able to bid (no exceptions). Buy from me and you will not be disappointed. Please review my feedback and bid with confidence. Good luck bidding. On Apr-29-10 at 08:21:58 PDT, seller added the following information: On Apr-29-10 at 17:51:59 PDT, seller added the following information: On Apr-30-10 at 07:06:13 PDT, seller added the following information:
