1967 MASERATI GHIBLI Many believe the Maserati Ghibli to be the greatest of all road going Maserati’s. It was the sensation of the 1966 Turin Motor Show and 40 years on is still widely regarded as Maserati’s ultimate front-engined road car. A super car with a spectacular blend of luxury, performance and stunning good looks. Coachwork by Ghia, was one of the finest early designs by their brilliant young Italian designer, Giorgetto Giugiaro. The engine is a race-bred 4.7 liter quad cam V8 which delivers 330 hp at 5000 rpm and is good for around 160 mph. The Ghibli is one of only a handful of cars which look right from any angle. The car is a masterpiece of balance, refinement and simplicity. ````````````````````````````````````` This car is in excellent rust free condition having been maintained regardless of cost. It is part of an important collection that is being thinned out. The engine was rebuilt five years ago at a cost of $20,000 and the car has since covered approximately 290 miles. At the same time a new clutch, pressure plate and release bearing were fitted. The carburetors, starter motor, alternator and water pump were also re-built. Bodily the car is rust free, very straight and is in immaculate condition. The first class dark blue paint finish together with the cream leather interior is a fabulous combination. The leather interior we believe to be original and is in excellent condition with no splits or tares. The stitching on the seats is very unusual and very appealing. All the gauges and switches work as intended with the exception of the clock which works intermittently.
