1998 Mitsubishi Galant ES Coupe. Manual Transmission. 156,838 miles. Mostly highway miles since I purchased it in 2007 at 114,006 miles. This has been a good car. Never had to take it into the shop for anything other than the a/c stopped working last summer. The repair cost for the a/c was quoted to me at a little over $300 with labor, although I am not sure what the problem is with it. I don't use the a/c often, so I never had it fixed. While I was there I had him do a complete engine inspection, and the only repair needed was a new set of spark plugs. There also seems to be some sort of short in the antenna. The stereo will work at some times, and not at others. This is probably an easy fix, but I opted to use an adapter and play music through my iPhone's ipod and internet radio. There is a multi-disk cd changer installed in the car, but it plays through an fm transmitter, so the short would need to be fixed to use it. There is also a crack in the windshield that runs from the rearview mirror area across the top of the passenger-side. I don't even notice this from the driver's seat, so I've never gotten it repaired either. There is a small dent in the front driver's side, which you can see in the picture. This was done by a car door. The fabric has come off of the part the slides shut under the sunroof, and needs to be glued, but I am not very crafty, and a afraid to attempt this myself. The carpets have stains, and need a good shampoo. This I will try to have done before auction ending. And finally, the visors are not attached. I have them in the car, but the screws were misplaced. Again, an easy fix. All in all, the car is in pretty good shape for it's age. It should have a lot of good use left in it. I really hate to let it go, but it just sits in my driveway as a second car. The gas mileage is Excellent. It has working power sunroof, power windows, power door locks, cruise control, and dual front airbags. Interior is leather. Windows are tinted.
