2001 Audi TT 225 Quattro Roadster Many Upgrades - 84,773 MI with only 9000mi on total engine rebuild. PLEASE WAIT FOR ALL PHOTOS TO LOAD I had a lot of custom work done to this car- All while thinking Money doesn't matter because I am never going to sell it. We had a daughter last August, and this car is too impractical for us at this time. Although it is a Quattro, and has heated seats, I never drove it in the winter- It was stored in a heated building. I originally purchased this in 2007 from a dealer in PA who put a new convertible top on it. Two weeks later I was on my way to a baseball game and the timing belt snapped. I thought this was great because it would be an easy fix... Not at all. My mechanic (who also owns a TT 225 roadster) said when the timing belt goes, the whole engine needs to be rebuilt. All work was done at 75,093 miles. I decided to upgrade some parts during the process. All the upgrades were for performance, but it still runs and drives like a normal car. I have all the records and receipts for the car in a folder. The winning bidder will also receive a custom fit $299 Car Cover. All Upgrades: NUESPEED P-chip (25-30hp gain) I had the mechanic take out the factory chip and we sent it to NEUSPEED to get flashed. NEUSPEED's software is the ultimate for Audi's equipped with the 1.8T engine. After the chip upgrade, I could really tell a difference- no longer do you have to downshift to pass cars on the highway. Give it gas and the turbo opens up for quick horsepower. NUESPEED P-Flo Air Intake (5-8hp gain) Why Not? The plastic factory airbox is good at muffling intake noise and enhancing low rpm/low speed engine performance, but becomes very restrictive when the engine is operating in the higher rpm range – where most performance drivers need it. The NEUSPEED P-Flo allows you to uncork the intake side of your engine, drawing in a nearly unlimited supply of fresh air. Read more about this here. 42 Draft Designs Custom made 3" downpipe (15hp gain) The factory 225 downpipe starts out over 3" in diameter, but quickly reduces and splits into two smaller pipes. These two pipes twist to clear the driveshaft and meet up with two small catalytic converters. 2.55" exhaust piping finishes up the remainder of the downpipe. This 3" downpipe upgrade has been designed to squeeze all available power from a street or track driven TT. Horsepower and torque increases are estimated at 15hp and 15ft/lbs at the wheels. Read more here. NUESPEED Stainless Steel Cat-Back Exhaust An all-stainless catalyst-back exhaust system that rivals the best that Europe has to offer! These low restriction mufflers and resonators were carefully designed to reduce weight and meet State noise restriction standards. With all the new parts, the O2 Sensor goes off intermittently and the engine light comes on.... It costs me $100 to reset at the mechanic, and every time I go, he says the same thing. "Everything is running the way it should, the O2 sensor goes off because you have more air-flow than you would with the factory exhaust. (4th down on the right side) This includes a custom made headliner for the convertible top. It hides all the internal hardware . Complete Sound System upgrade After picking up the car I realized on my first drive with the top down I couldn't' hear anything coming out of the factory speakers. I dropped the car off at Best Buy and $1500 later It has awesome sound. I had them replace all factory speakers, install an amp in the trunk, and a new deck with iPod and Mp3 player dock in the glove box. This will allow you to plug in your iPod, iPhone, or any USB FLASH drive with Mp3's on it. The deck controls your ipod. Konig Rims/YokohamaTires The Rims are 18" Konig Trouble's- These are much, much lighter than the OEM Audi Rims. Tires are Yokohama YK520's. I have all the paperwork for the lifetime balance and repair warranty. I've never tried it, but if you hit a corner at 130mph these tires will keep you on the road. If you would like to fly in and pick up the car, I can meet you at the RST for free. I can deliver the car to you at MSP for $100. Payment must be in form of a cashiers check from a national bank chain. If we are shipping the car, I will need full payment before the car ships. If you are picking it up, I will need you to email me a copy of the check one business day prior to pickup. I will not release the title without verifying funds are good.
