Selling my 79 Lil Red Express truck. It is in great shape as a driver, very solid body and runs great. Does have a few spots where the clearcoat is coming off, but I think it could be fixed very easily. I bought this to use as my daily driver, but with a new baby in the family I am finding that it wasn't a great decision... so it is for sale. Original 360 HP small block, 727 automatic trans and 3.55 sure-grip rear. Truck has less than 50k miles and was partially restored in mid 1990s in Colorado, engine was rebuilt, and I have all of the receipts from that previous work. After that, it was just occasionally used for the last few years. To get it ready to use every day, I have done a lot of work to it recently: New spark plugs, wires, oil change, radiator flush, as the basics. Also new door weatherstrips and seals, new reproduction "Tuff Wheel" steering wheel, new turn signal switch, front pump seal and re-manufactured torque converter to get rid of a transmission leak, new BF Goodrich T/A Radials (4), KYB shocks, alignment done, new starter and alternator, voltage regulator, and Mopar ECU. Again, I've put a lot of money and labor into it, and it really runs great, I have driven it to Tampa and back recently (5 hous each way) and no problems at all, it is very reliable. Other than the clearcoat spots, the body and paint are in really good shape. Could stand new door decals, and to have the wood on the bedsides refinished, but they are still in acceptable shape. The heat works, the A/C blows cold, the AM/FM radio works fine, all of the gauges work, etc. The carpet is in good shape, the dash is in good shape, the seat has a few splits in the seams but nothing major.
