Vehicle Detail
1957 Plymouth Belvedere Rare 2 Door Hard Top The body overall is straight with no major dents. All glass is intact except passenger vent window. Front & back glass is weather faded and I do not know if it will clean up. Front glass has a couple of minor chips. Car has V8 engine which I believe is a 361, but not 100% sure, I have never tried to start, but I doubt it runs as car has been sitting in the pasture since 1973. This car has manual transmission, I assume it is a 3 speed, the shifter is in the floor, but car was orginaly an automatic push button. The hood is frozen in the up position, but can easily be removed for transporting. The trunk was pryed up about 1 foot at some point and damaged the inside locking brace, etc but outside skin is overall straight. the interior is shot, but is complete including seat springs and may be able to restore seats. The car has rust in the normal places but no to bad in my opinion, some ate through along the rocker panel on drivers side, lower quarter panel, and fender, but the car is not a rust bucket. The floor pans do not appear to be rusted through as the windows have been up since parked. I have not opened trunk to see if rusted out so this area is unknown. All 4 tires are good, I just had them mounted but tire shop did not clean around front 2 rims good and are leaking around rims, but will air up & hold for a while, the back 2 I took to a different tire shop and they mounted them right. This car is being sold as-is where-is with bill of sale only. Buyer is responsible for transporting and any related cost. Thank for looking & good luck !On Apr-18-10 at 21:49:03 PDT, seller added the following information: I have just been told this may be a 318 V8 , but again not 100% sure, any input greatly appreciated, ThanksOn Apr-22-10 at 17:12:03 PDT, seller added the following information: I have been told this engine is a 301, the same engine as a 318, and I have been told it probably is a 318 polyhead because the lower edge of heads are wavy, but I do know that is definetly not a 361, thanksOn Apr-24-10 at 18:30:08 PDT, seller added the following information: The bidder who retracted said he retracted because I changed Item Description, Any updates I made where a full day before he even bid.
