1966 Impala 2 door. Restorable driver. Originaly a 396. Now has rebuilt 350. Nice interior with bucket seats. Runs great with new battery. Has flowmaster exhaust with headers but drivers side tailpipe after muffler is off, have parts. Rust starting above wheelwells. Respectable, solid 20 footer. Has nice bucket seats, and interior. New tires with corvette rallye rims. Needs new vinyl top. Turbo 400h trans needs new pan gasket, and passenger side has slight leak at brake. Definitely not a show car, but a solid restorable driver. Has a few minor dents here and there. Trunk pan has been replaced. At some point in the past the drivers side rear frame was replaced. They did a nice job, because I never noticed it before. They also started to box in both the passenger and drivers side rear frame for added strength, but a friend noticed the welds for the boxing were not completed. I personally would clean it up and finish the welds if I were putting a high horsepower engine in. I dont see a problem with the current drivetrain. Drive while you restore.
