This is a 1997 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4x4 with the 4.0 liter six-cylinder engine and automatic transmission. This Jeep was professionally converted into a Track Truck by American Track Truck, Inc in March 2010. Find out more about this company at www.AmericanTrackTruck.com The Jeep has 159,000 miles on it. The six cylinder engine runs great and does not smoke, leak, or use any fluids. The automatic transmission shifts very smooth and the 4x4 low and high ranges operate flawlessly. The Jeep is really clean inside and out. There is no corrosion anyplace on the body or chassis. The truck is very solid with good suspension, joints, brakes, etc. All of the electric controls and gauges, etc. all seem to work perfect. The heat, A/C, wipers, defrost, power windows, power locks, etc all work great. The white paint is still very glossy with a few light dents and scratches. We purchased this Jeep from an insurance auction. It was involved in a light roll-over accident and now has a Michigan JUNK title, which means it can never be registered for on-road use ever again. However, this Jeep is ideal for a dedicated tracked vehicle for off-road use. And when you don’t need the tracks, you can put the tires back on and use the Jeep as a wheeled vehicle on private property—the perfect utility vehicle for a farm, ranch, or industrial site. Four tires/wheels are also included. It takes about 30 minutes to remove the tracks and put the wheels back on. The Dominator Series Track System is made by American Track Truck, Inc. and it's designed to work in snow, slush, ice, mud, swamp, marsh, wet terrain, and even dry ground at lower speeds. The track system is brand new with only a few test miles. It uses brand new Camoplast 121”x 15”x .75” rubber tracks. Dominator track systems are very solid and super easy and economical to maintain. All of the wear items can be purchased at your local snowmobile shop or auto parts store. Dominators can be installed or removed by one person in under an hour. They only weigh about 160 lbs each. These Dominators will fit any vehicle with a 5 x 4.50” bolt pattern, so you can put them on another vehicle later, if you choose to update (most Jeep Wranglers, Cherokees, Grand Cherokees, and Liberties and Ford Rangers, Explorers, and Escapes have this bolt pattern!) And if you wish to install these tracks onto a vehicle with a different bolt pattern, adaptors are available to fit almost anything. Just contact American Track Truck for more details. This Jeep Track Truck literally floats through the deepest of snow as its ground pressure is less than 2 lbs per square inch. In high range on hard pack this Track Truck will run out at over 30 mph with ease. This Track Truck feels just like driving a normal S.U.V. on tires. It handles great and turns unbelievably tight with ease. This Track Truck and the Dominator Tracks are covered by American Track Truck’s exclusive Dual Warranty (see website for details). Other Track Trucks and Dominator track systems are also available, along with options such as a full hydraulic system and four way plow. We will gladly ship this vehicle by truck. You may arrange your own truck, or we will find a truck for you, and add the freight to the total. In order to ship, all money must be paid in full prior to transport. We have a loading dock and can drive this vehicle onto a flatbed, stepdeck, van or reefer trailer. Figure a total vehicle weight of about 4,500 lbs including the extra tires and wheels.
