I built this car for myself and find I do not have the time to enjoy it. 1965 Comet. This car still has all of it's original paint inside and outside. The only place I repainted it was the engine compartment. Body is the nicest original I have ever seen no rust anywhere ever. The under side of car is as shiny as the top, with no damage from towing or jacks. There are some road chips and a scratch on car and the passenger side door has a scratch, but very minor. Cars only have the original paint once, so I could never bring myself to repaint. I had the interior redone with stock seat and trim for a comet cyclone. Head liner is still original. Engine is a all aluminum 427 FE Ford type bored and stroked to 482. HP is over 600 and so is torque on pump gas. Have Dyno sheets to back up. Trans is a built C-6, rear end is a Curry 9 inch. with 3.70 posi. All suspension is new, front brakes are factory disc. Car weights 3200lbs. Aluminum 26 gallon gas tank. This car has the full John Calvert (Caltract) suspension. I have about 400 miles on car, just enough to make sure everything runs and drives as it should. Car runs very fast and straight,.
