Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 1972 Fiat 500L VIN: 110F6090582 599cc 2-cylinder 4-Speed Synchronized gear box Kilometers: 34,000 Drivetrain This Fiat 500 has a 599cc engine with a 4-speed (synchronized) gearbox. This larger engine (compared to previous Fiat 500 models) allows for more power to keep up with daily driving conditions and the synchronized gearbox eliminates the need for double clutching. Work completed includes: oil change, clean centrifugal filter, and valves adjusted. This engine starts every time with little to no effort and runs very well. The gearbox shifts fluidly through all gears with no issues. New parts include: points, condenser, spark plug wires, plugs, distributor cap, rotor, brake master cylinder, wheel brake cylinders, fuel line, battery, complete sunroof and assembly, and inner door pulls. The brakes function but are soft as a result of sitting all winter. Exterior The exterior of this Fiat 500 is in fairly solid condition with the exception of a few lower areas where rust is present. There are signs of previous bodywork and paintwork (rust bubbling through the paint). The front hood does have a few dings in it also. Although the rust on this vehicle is typical of most Fiat 500s, it would take very little to restore this to look presentable. Wheels/Tires The tires of this Fiat 500 are close to new in appearance. Hubcaps and mounting bolts are newer with very little wear. The steel wheels are painted silver and are in good condition. Exterior Accessories All glass is in very good shape. A few of the weather stripping rubber pieces show mild cracks. The chrome bumpers are in very good condition with very little rust (newer front bumper included with the sale). The chrome bumper accent bars show signs of surface rust. All other trim work is in very good condition. All lights and trim are in very good condition. The front turn signals are a bit “foggy.” A good buffing will restore their luster and shine. Interior The interior is all original. The door panels are in very nice condition as are the seats and carpet. The steering wheel does have a minor fracture located at the top of the wheel. Overall the interior is in good shape. Electrical System The electrical system has been looked through to ensure the headlights, high beams, turn signals, brake lights, interior lights, dash lights, and windshield wipers work at an optimum level. The only notable issues are the driver’s side high-beam headlight does not function and the horn operates on occasion. Conclusion This vehicle is ready to drive! If you are looking for a cost-effective vehicle that attracts the attention of anyone within eye’s sight… this is it. This vehicle is currently registered in the US and comes complete with a clear Illinois title. Many parts on this Fiat have been replaced to ensure functionality and operation.
