Vehicle Detail

"Wow, what kind of car is that?" "Is that a Camaro?" It's a 1965 Corvair Monza! 1965 Corvair Monza, the first year the Corvair was given this particular body, making it more collectible. 110 HP, Automatic PowerGlide 2 Speed, was purchased on Ebay in September, 2006 from a seller in Henderson, Nevada. In 2006, the previous owner stated that the paint job was new. Therefore, it is estimated to be 4 years old now but it is still in good glossy condition (not show quality). The previous owner also stated that he replaced the engine block, bought new Cam Gears, Lifters, New Viton Seals, Rebuilt the Carburators (2), new wires, and gave it a tune-up. This is documented in the Ebay print-out from before the auction closed. When I inquired, the previous seller stated to me that he bought the car from an older gentlemen in Las Vegas, and that the car, due to it being in the desert, had little to no rust. The previous owner left his DMV registration from Nevada in the car and I can verify he owned the vehicle as far back as 2004. I have owned the vehicle since 2006, have kept it garaged the entire time, and have only put about 4500 miles on it. Car has 105K miles showing on dash. I have had the following custom work done on the vehicle: Additional Work/Purchases on Vehicle by Owner: -New Headliner; Cost $279, Receipt Available -New Car Muffler with Tailpipe from Clark’s Corvair, Cost $76.94, Receipt Available -New Door Arm Rest from Clarks Corvair, Cost $29.75 -New 2 Front Emblems from Clarks, Cost $18.50, Receipt Available (Not on vehicle) -Replaced Rear Control Arm Bushing for better handling, Cost $170, Receipt Available -Replaced Front Sway Bar Bushings for better handling, Cost $85, Receipt Available -New Dome Light Lens from Clarks, Cost $4.05, Receipt Available -Sunvisor clips, bushing, chrome coat hooks from Clarks, Cost $78.40, Receipt Available -Sony CD/Mp3 Player and 2 6.5 Sony Speakers installed in Custom Made Console, 12 Sony Sub, and 600 Watt Amp inside the hood! Cost $825.37, Receipt Available -Oil Changes (some receipts available) -New, just purchased Car battery (Winter 2009), Cost $79, Receipt Available Custom Vehicle! This 1965 Corvair is unique. It has a well done (though not perfect) molded spoiler. It sits on 17x7.5 TSW Chrome wheels that are actually meant for a BMW. This gives the car a nice stance and better handling. The front seats are actually 1969 Impala Super Sport seats, and they match the aqua interior. Two chrome bullet wiper blade covers giving it a meaner look (wiper blades inside the hood). How Does It Run? Answer: It Starts and RUNS GREAT!! The car accelerates really well, and can still go 60mph+ on the freeway. Minor Imperfections: -Heater does not work. -Small rock dings along driver side requiring sanding and matching paint. -Two small paint chip rock dings along right side of front fender needing touch up paint. -Rock ding on the crease of the front hood requiring sanding and matching paint. -Left front panel has got some minor paint bubbling, three paint chips showing very minute rust. -The rear brake lights stay on due to the brake pedal needing adjustment so the sensor is not touched. You have to jiggle the brake pedal to get the brake light to go and stay off. Payment is due in full within 7 business days of auction closing. Cash, Certified Funds and/or Bank Transfer will be accepted. If paying by personal check the vehicle will be held until it clears. Bonus: Purchase this vehicle and I will also throw in three additional Corvair stock wheels & tires with almost new thread left on each tire.On Apr-20-10 at 14:10:17 PDT, seller added the following information: I've lowered the Reserve! Next Bid takes the reserve off. Someone is winning this car this time!
