**LOO0WW RESERVE**1978 Chevrolet pick-up bonanza extended bed.. I have had this truck for the last 7 years. I used it to take dump loads, to get mulch, to get dirt. Anything that I did not want to do to my nice truck. I have not done anything to this truck, except routine maintenance. Nothing to the 305 automatic engine. This truck is a pretty solid running truck. The transmission is what I have worked on though. It skips every now and then and sometimes has a little prob engaging, but that has only happened once or twice in a year period. It leaks very little oil and transmission fluid, not much..can be fixed very easily. The truck overall would be a fantastic project truck, or just a work truck or just a normal driving needed truck. BUT my goal was to restore it. It needs a new battery in it, and it will fire right up. The gas gage does not always work...sometimes it bounces all over the place, occassionaly it stops bouncing and when it does you can see where it is. I am sure you can fix that with a sensor or new gauge. I always just put 15 bucks in it when i took it everywhere. The mileage on the motor is 7,986. I do not believe that though. I cant remember, but i think when it got up to 200,000 it tripped back over. I think that is what has happened. But i could be wrong...I Havent put but maybe 500 miles on it a year...so there is a possibility that those are original....you be the one to decide. There is some dents here and there same as some rust. The bed is extended and has rust problems and would might need to be rewelding towards the front sometime in the future. The interior is actually good. The driver side has some tears in the seat. The passenger side does not. you can see in the pictures. I dont think i have left anything off. The last picture is what i wanted this truck to look like, but i have given up on it. I do not have the time anymore, but my loss can be your gain.
