This 1983 Mercedes 380sl spent most of it's time in Florida. It only has 95,000 actual miles and is very solid!! It has had the double timing chain conversion to prevent issues. The transmission has been rebuilt and shifts great. It motor runs rich and idles high sometimes. I'm sure it needs a nice tune up, oil change fresh fuel and possibly an adjustment of mixture. It was used very little in the past years since it was a car was kept in Florida at a second snow bird location. The car has a very nice Mercedes Benz Text factory interior with the rear seat feature and seatbelts. A brand new soft top that has just been professionally installed. The hard top is a different color as seen. The tires match with nice tread. The alloy wheels are very clean. The lights, horn, radio, fog lights, gauges work. The water pump looks like it was leaking from the weep hole but is not leaking now. I am including a new water pump with the car in the trunk. The air conditioning compressor works but the touch panel is not working so nothing blows out. The exhaust is nice and clean with no leaks. The paint work all matches. This Mercedes was repainted the original white color. The paint has some heat cracks from the hot heat in Florida but it looks presentable. Special use vehicles qualify for Hagerty antique insurance for so inexpensive for antique cars. In conclusion, this is a solid running and driving Convertible Mercedes with a new top, super interior and in solid condition. A 36 year old low mileage Mercedes project car priced accordingly.
