Vehicle Detail
For sale here is one very solid early trans-am. I have owned this car for over 30 years and hate to part with it. This is a factory 455 car with automatic trans. This was a totally loaded car when new, color was red with black interior when built. Original engine was destroyed when I bought the car, and a correct coded replacement engine was found and installed. It runs excellent and is low miles. I always liked the later interior and that was the direction I was taking the car, but an easy fix if you want to be original. All brakes have been freshened, new axle bearings and seals replaced on the factory posi 10 bolt rear, wiring harnesses are either excellent original or quality replacements. I have everything for the car, spoilers, carb shaker assembly, air extractors, front aprons, A/C components, etc. The car was painted blue sometime in its early life. All body panels are excellent, zero bondo on rear of car. A few dings were repaired on the doors (I do mean minor dings). Fenders were replaced with super nice fenders, the reason being one fender was poorly repaired and I felt it was junk, and found the set now on the car super nice. The endura nose will need work, typical surface cracking, was cleaned up years ago with a flexable putty, but that has gone south from years of sitting in the sun. Car has a nice dry factory hood that will need striping to remove old laquer paint and graphics. No exhaust system under the car, it was missing when I purchased the car. I installed a new gas tank but have the original which is still clean and usable. This is a true desert car and is very dry, you will be hard pressed to find a more solid car to work with. This was a power window and lock car. I changed to manual windows, but I have the power regulators, electric locks are still in the doors, I believe I have the harnessed boots and wiring. The upper cowl under the windshield was perfect, zero rust in that area, also was dry under rear glass.. Trunk floor is solid and car has never been hit in the rear. The rear sway bar was missing when bought, but is needed to replace it. Money issues force the sale of this car. Low reserve for what is sitting here, and I will consider all reasonable offers. You will have a lot of good to work with here and I do have some extras laying around here that can be had. Call me Mike with any questions (775)764-1507 CALL ONLY I DO NOT TEXT
