This is for a Straight and RUST FREE 1996 Chevrolet Silverado ext cab Short bed step-side.The truck had sat for a couple of years before I got it.I charged up the Battery and it cranked right up. The 5.7 350 Vortec engine runs good with good oil pressure and no smoke or noises,but the water pump will need replacing,it is leaking badly.The brakes are fine for moving it around and loading,but the pedal is kinda low,May just need bleeding or possibly a master cylinder replacement.The transmission goes right into gear and shifts fine,fluid looks decent.I have driven it up and down the road by my house to make sure it shifts OK and the rear end is good.So between the water pump and the brakes being low,it will have to be trailered or transported.There is a little play in the steering.The muffler has a hole in it. The body is very straight and 100% rust free.Even the doors open and shut nice with no sagging or dragging.I have a new drivers outside and inside door handle that will come with the truck.I have the bed liner and tailgate cover for the truck.I took them out to see how good the bed was.It is in Great shape.There is NO damage to the body that jumps out.The paint appears,to me,to be original with some normal gm clear coat issues on the hood and roof.There is a small dent in the tailgate you can see in the photo.The truck was fully loaded when new,I posted the RPO code sheet.The truck has a g80 rear end(limited slip)The interior is going to need a new driver seat cover.The rest of the leather is livable.The drivers power seat still works as it should.The dash is NOT cracked or butchered.All the gauges work.The radio works when it wants to.The carpet is absolutely filthy.It might can be cleaned, but I would just replace it.The windshield is cracked on the each side,due to rock chips.I have all 4 of the original alloy wheels that will come with the truck if you want them.I put the Appliance 8 x 15 mags on it for a better look,The tires are decent and they all match.The underside of this truck is rust free also and is dry.See all 24 Photos.This will make a nice truck with a little work and time.
