I have lots to say here... this is a really nice truck and an awesome start for your Cummins or Late model Hemi conversion! This was an X-Air Force truck I bought from Oklahoma about 8 years ago I drove it home 260 miles with the original 360 and auto trans. The only rust was up on the top of the cab by the windshield and it was not bad at all. I drove it for about 4 years and decided to do a Cummins swap. So.... I took it apart and: -Blasted the frame and painted it in heavy duty industrial enamel-Sprayed “Raptor Liner” on bottom of the cab. No rust whatsoever on floor or cab corners. The previous owner had the entire truck sprayed in “speed liner”. I have about 16,000 hours removing the speed liner from the outside. The inside of the cab was speed lined as well and I left it because it looked great.-Sprayed “Raptor Liner” inside the bed-Used polyurethane cab bushings when I put the cab back on the frame. -Previous owner converted rear drum brake to disc brakes, so it has 4 wheel disc brakes-Painted door jambs and body in PPG “California Red”, it was the closest match to the speed liner already on the inside -Put in new carpet. The seats are cores and are okay, I would recover them-New grille and front bumper-Borgson-Warner front steering shaft-Front wheel wells are raptor lined -Raptor Lined the roof because I had intentions of putting some racks up there and did not want to worry about paint. It looks great, I also blacked out the hood with semi flat paint and a pin-stripe. I saw it on another truck and loved how it looked... so I copied it! THIS TRUCK K IS BEING SOLD AS A ROLLING BODY... it does not run AND DOES NOT HAVE AN ENGINE OR TRANSMISSION WITH IT The roof has some dirt and dust on it in the pics, in reality it is freshly raptor lined and looks great. I also did not put bonds on the rust on the top of the windshield, I stripped it to metal, treated the rust and then painted it. It has not rusted through but has pitted. I wanted the new owner to see exactly what was there and did not want to hide it.I did not paint the bottom of the bed... so it’s as it was before I started. I have decided that I am not going to Cummins swap this truck- I have an old Ramcharger I Want to swap instead. So I am going to sell it. I have the following parts that go with it:-Extra grill and headlight doors-Front/rear driveshafts with the carrier bearing-Crossmember for the frame (did not paint the crossmember) The paint work is very nice. I have a paint booth and do my own work. It is not however, a $20,000.00 show car quality paint job. It is just as nice (if not nicer) than it was when it was new in 1985.
