***RELIST***DUE TO OUT OF STATE BUYERS NOT COMPLYING WITH PAYMENT INSTRUCTIONS AND LACK OF COMMUNICATION.*** PLEASE UNDERSTAND THE PAYMENT INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE YOU OFFER/BID.*** ***FULL PAYMENT DUE WITHIN 3 DAYS OF CLOSE OF ACTION*** Up for sale is a very rare 1979 Lincoln Continental Mark V "Coloma" ranchero made by Caribou Motors. There were only 12 made total, as I have been told. Vehicle originally came from northern Ca. For the last many years it has been stored indoors in Orange County. Vehicle runs and drives. Fluids have been changed, new fuel hoses and filter, new rear brake lines, cooling system flushed, and new valve cover gaskets. Could use tuning on the carburetor, replace heater hoses, etc. if you plan on daily use. This vehicle had been sitting, mostly, for the better part of 5 years in storage. Engine and transmission seem solid overall. The engine was professionally rebuilt at some time in it's life, as it has a stainless tag attached to the block above the oil filter. Engine is still clean and "silver" inside, with no sludge or discoloration. Tires are old, but roll round and are good for local use. Could use rear shocks. Probably could use a good going over, greasing, etc. Will not come with a California smog. Will need further mechanical work/refinement to pass, I am sure. Original catalytic converters are in place and look good. Newer muffler and tailpipe, OEM style. Interior is serviceable with the exception of the seats, which need new leather. There is some fading and minor issues, but decent for an old car. Dash has a central crack in the pad. Good, clean glass all around. Side windows fit well and are water-tight. Power seats move back and forth, power windows are functioning, power door locks are functioning, working dash lights and gauges, with exception of the digital miles until empty gauge. Ventilation system is functioning and the compressor does turn on when switched to A/C. Exterior lighting is functioning, including the vacuum headlight doors. All service, warning lights are working. Stereo sounds good. Power antenna will need replaced. Chassis is very clean and floor pans are solid with nothing more than your expected surface rust that you would see on a California car. No appreciable leaks from the drive line. Roof above the windshield has some rust holes/issues at the front, but does not leak into the interior. Should be a straight forward repair. Most likely due to the top. The rear lower quarter panels need repaired or replaced due to lack of drains when the car was converted. Inside the spare tire access door in the bed is very clean and free of any rust. Comes with perfect rear, lower quarter panel patch panels (see photos). An easy install.. Other than that, body is straight and rust free. Chrome and trim are decent to good and look nice. Outside moldings have some dents and scratches around the wheel wells, but decent. Vehicle appears to have been originally burgundy and rose, but had been repainted at sometime soft white. The top of the vehicle above the pin stripe has been "non professionally" painted bright white. Looks decent, but was done just to protect the car. Car appears two tone, white over cream. Looks good for a weekend cruiser. Sides of car are very straight and paint is shiny. Working tailgate with hidden spare tire well with working drains. This is a very rare custom Lincoln and increasingly desirable. Don't miss out on a chance to own one of these rare Coloma's. After all...there were only 12 made! ************************************************************************* Needs general straight forward work if you want to make it nice, or drive as-is, with some service, to your favorite local steakhouse or car show. Constantly draws crowds and admirers. ************************************************************************* PLEASE VIEW ALL PHOTOS AND ASK ANY AND ALL QUESTIONS. SOLD "AS-IS", "WHERE-IS" WITH NO EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES. This car does need work and is not in "daily driver" condition currently.Comes with a clean California title. Last registration was 2013.
