Vehicle Detail
I have a nice 1999 Subaru Legacy outback Wagon for sale. It is a fantastic car in the snow, has Subaru's trademark All Wheel Drive, and 2.5L H4 engine they have been using for years. It has all the options, heated cloth seats with no rips or stains, power windows all around with one touch down on driver's window, stock radio with Tape and CD player, and Cruise control. Tires on car are only a few years old summer tires, and won't need to be replaced anytime soon. It also comes with a spare set of lightly used studded snow tires from Goodyear with their transferable road hazard warranty. Regular maintenance, and driven by nonsmokers. Needs some things. Now for what you are here for, The Good: Engine runs strong No cooling system leaks or problems Recent oil change Everything works Body is straight Not a golf ball from hail Roof cargo bars Two sets of Good GoodYear tires Heater and A/C work as does defrost Heated seat for driver and passenger are fantastic in the winter Cloth seats: better than leather because you won't be burned and then stuck in the summer or frozen and stuck in the winter. Alright, here we go, The Bad: Transmission is slipping when shifting from idle to first: This is why it is cheap If you are inclined it can be fixed by someone who knows cars, or by a shop. Gauge cluster occasionally gives out: This is because of a loose connection on the panel. It is and easy fix that can be done for the cost of a wedge or screw and some time. Plenty of youtube videos to follow. Needs windshield eventually: Glass is 14 years old and pitted and cracked, won't fail, so not a priority. This was our family car, then became my sister's car. It has gone cross country, has had regular maintenance, and has been a good reliable car. My sister just wanted to upgrade rather than fix the transmission, and I didn't want to replace it anyway, neither of us have time for that. Car has 173506 miles on it, and if you know Subaru's, you know that this is barely half the life of the engine. It still has a few hundred thousand in it, it just need some TLC. I hope to sell it to someone who needs a cheap car and won't just trash it in a few months, it has been part of our family since 2004, and we have really enjoyed it. Email if you live near and want to come and view it. If you really want it shipped, arranging an paying for shipping is solely the responsibility of the buyer. This car is listed in multiple places, and I reserve to right to end listing or remove ad without warning in case of sale through another medium.
