This is one of the nicest FJ40's you are likely to ever encounter. 1600 hours went into this custom FJ40. This is a turnkey classic that is as beautiful as it is capable. The pictures speak for themselves but here are some facts about the vehicle. This is a 1965 frame and body that has been extended and boxed. The frame and body are rust free being that it spent most of its life in California. The frame is supported by Race Runner dual rate coilovers at each corner. In addition to the coilovers there are also pneumatic bump stops at each corner. Limit straps have been installed to prevent over-extending the coilovers. Powering this FJ40 is a LT1 Pursuit Engine with fuel injection, aluminum Trick Flow heads, Sanderson Ceramic Headers, K&N Air Filter. The axles are both Dana 60's with 4.11 gears and ARB Lockers in front and rear. The axles are attached to the frame via a 4-Link in the front and rear. Transferring the power to the wheels is a high performance/heavy duty built 700R4 Overdrive automatic transmission. The transmission has a manual torque converter lockout switch on the floorboard. Behind the 700R4 is a Atlas 2 transfer case. Custom driveshafts in the front and rear (double cardan). The body is painted atomic orange and with the exception of a few imperfections looks great overall. There is no rust on this frame or body. The hood has been vented for appearance and keeping the engine cool. The engine tops out at 180 degrees on a hot day and about 160 on a cold day. All gauges work, including an accurate gas gauge. Halogen lights in the front and LED in the rear. Spots, reverse, and under vehicle lights. There are also inside overhead lights on the roll-bar. Speaking of the roll-bar, notice the quality of this roll bar. Not only is it built like a tank but the roll-bar ties into the frame for REAL protection. The wiring is all new and very well done, utilizing fuse panels and breakers from painless wiring. A Painless Wiring engine management module keeps the engine running tip top as is should. The engine has no ticks or knocks, does not smoke, does not burn oil, and has only received synthetic oil, as is the same for all the fluids. All fluids were just changed so you need to do nothing. The combo of American Force solid billet rims and Toyo 38x15' tires makes this the best riding vehicle ever. Easily cruise at 70mph without white knuckles. Braking is provided by power assisted Willwood disc brakes at all four corners. Power steering and ram assist by PSC. This vehicle does not wander! Nathan K3LA train horn and 5 gallon air tank under truck. Kenwood stereo with USB interface for use with smart phones. Stereo powered by 300W JBL marine amp. Boat speakers attached to roll bar. 8000lb Warn winch with synthetic rope. There are just too many things to list. I will include a pic of the vehicle appraisal ($62,500) that was done before the $5K wheel and tire upgrade, and $1000.00 train horn. I have a folder full of receipts that shows the $5000.00 transmission build and over $8000.00 in welding services as just a few examples of all the money spent on this FJ40. I only have a bikini top and no hard or full soft top. Half doors are included. The heater works great on cool days and would run you out with a top present. Tilt column and high back seats are quite comfortable for long trips. The road noise from the tires is non-existent. I have owned several FJ40's and this is the nicest one I have ever seen.
