My plan was to build a nice sidecar bike (for my retirement years) with a lot more power than the stock R60 motor had, well we finished the bike, but never got around to attaching a nice sidecar. This was a project once built I wanted to keep forever, but finances and shattering my hip a year ago I've reluctantly decided to sell the bike.A new Speedometer was installed and bike only has 127 miles since re-assembled. This bike was rebuilt from the ground up. I had the frame Powder-coated, and also the Earles forks, headlight bucket, center-stand, the heads, cylinders, motor covers and the wheel hubs.Visible new parts include: Rear Fender Rack (from Germany), rear hubs were powder-coated and sent off the "Buchanan Spoke and Wheel" and built with new BMW High-lip Aluminum Rims and Stainless Steel Spokes. Brand new Sidecar HandlebarsShocks were disassembled and rebuiltHeaders are discolored, but they are fairly newThe mufflers came off a /2 that I had years ago, they are very solid Mufflers, no internal rust, some scuffs and a couple of small dents. They have a nice rumble....also NEW Knobby tires, ignition switch, new single coil, gas cap, bar-end mirrors, New Battery Tender "Battery"New Foot-Peg Rubber. The R100 Motors original miles was around 25,000, the motor was in good shape w/out any real issues, but was still disassembled and rebuilt, the crank was fine, all new seals were installed, Heads and Jugs were Powder-coated, Piston and sleeves looked great, but new rings were still installed. The Tranny is also from the RT, it was low mile and in great working order. The Big 40mm Bing Carbs were rebuilt. I did not get around to re-painting the fenders, the Gas Tank has the original paint (which looked fine) so I decided to leave it original...also the center strip on the Tank is just a decal and can be easily pulled off. Right now the only Stand on the bike is the Center-stand, but I do have a side stand that I will include. The stock side stand will not work on this conversion because of the bigger motor. The stand I have mounts with the motor mount bolts, it takes the place of the spacers on the bolts, the only thing it needs is a spring. a popular side stand for this type of bike is the "Brown" side stand. I finished building this bike in the spring of 2017I hope I haven't forgot anything, but I'm sure that who ever buys this Classic bike will enjoy it like I have.
