Up for auction is my awesome 1971 Ossa Pioneer 250. This bike has a clear Tennessee street legal title signed by the previous owner. Title shows it as a 1971 however frame says 1972. Frame number matches number on the title. The bike has a full Motoplat ignition system that doesn’t need need a battery, and has a lightning coil with a regulator/ rectifier. Has a head and tail light, however neither one are currently working. This bike had a light restoration by the previous owner. He used it on a few vintage dual sport rides and it worked great for him. Bodywork is original. Front fender is a chrome street bike fender. The original tank does have 2 epoxy patches in the lower rear corners. Has dual sport tires mounted on the original wheels. Has aluminum handlebars. Currently no speedometer mounted but the original speedometer is included. The engine has a fresh rebuild top and bottom end by an ossa specialist. Has a Yamaha rod upgrade as well. A new Mikuni carb replaces the finicky original and is tuned perfectly. Bike fires right up cold or hot and runs fantastic with no engine noises or issues. Also has a lot of power for a bike of its age. Bike rides great, and feels super solid. Shifts and runs really nice. No oil or fuel leaks. Only negatives are the lights don't work and it’s missing the muffler. However it really isn’t that loud, more comparable to a modern 2 stroke mx bike. This awesome bike is being offered world wide.
