Vehicle Detail

Beautiful bike, ready to go anywhere. Just replaced the battery and alternator as well as the ECM. Tires have lots of life left. Just heard a slight squeal in front brake pads, may need to be replaced in the next few thousand miles. I drive her daily just around town mostly so the mileage will be adjusted slightly. Only just over 107,00 miles. As you know if your shopping for a Goldwing, this is just getting broken in. My last GL1800 was at 302,000 when I sold her. Great bike if your thinking of investing in a newer model but want to get your feet wet first. Before you spend 30k, get into a great bike that will sell for your money back if you decide to take the plunge for a new one? There are some light scratches in the surface only but it's hard to get them to show up in pictures. Barely noticeable but I want to be completely transparent regarding all issues. You can see in one of the pics, some light pitting or rust on the drovers side side bag chrome trim. I am sure it can be fixed easily. I just put brand new speakers in the front. A week in and now I have no sound. I will check for blown fuses but I do not plan on opening the cowl back up to investigate. I have her priced well to cover any possibilities. The radio still works on the display but I have no sound to either the front or rear speakers. The reverse gear just stopped working. The light shows the R but the starter motor does not engage and you can't hear it attempting. Once again, priced accordingly. I put in a new ECM because the F1 code was showing a 26 which is the right knock sensor. I swapped them and it still showed the same code so I went ahead and spent the $1200 for the replacement. Now the knock sensor code is still showing but the bike runs like a dream. The sensor may improve mileage? Currently getting over 40 mpg. The part is $100 on amazon and its simple to swap out. I know I should have done it but once again, I have her priced accordingly and this in no way effects drivability. I drive her daily and as far as I can tell it seems like a faulty connection. If the "Check light" bothers you, your a hundred bucks away from the fix.
