Restoration of a 1979 International Harvester Scout II with original 79,xxx miles. Over 25k invested and 400+ hours. Never been off road and 100% rust free! Engine: 345 V8 4x4 – upgraded D.U.I distributor, Edelbrock 4 barrel carb, new fuel pump, water pump, belts, air filter, “live wires” blue, each and every hose replaced, heater coil, radiator, battery, valley pan seal, head gaskets, valve cover gaskets, oil pan seal, dip stick, spark plugs, Magna-flow exhaust w/dual straight pipes, starter, and complete tune-up. Tires/Brakes/Misc: brand new 35X12.5RT20, with FUEL blacked out rims, new drum brakes, new front disc brakes with turned rotors, new emergency cables and system, new drag bar, upgraded dual steering stabilizers, bushings, etc Body: customer paint “ land-rover Oxford Blue” complete cutout and replacement of inner and outer quarter panels, end caps, rear floor, driver and passenger floor, new windshield and seals, wipers, marker lights (front and rear), LED headlights, bottom half of both door panels, rocker panels, IH and International Emblem, side mirrors, and rough country fender flares “sprayed with Line-X.” Interior: all carpet removed and flooring and inner walls completely sealed and sprayed with Line-X, new driver and passenger Corbeau Seats, rear bench refurbished with new leather to match front seats, inner door panels refurbished to match all seats, original dash mat refurbished, entire dash painted same color as car, gauge insert sprayed with Line-X, new wiper/head light/hood/cigarette switches, 2 amp and subs for outstanding sound system with Kenwood head unit, TUFFY center console, custom steering wheel with “scout” emblem, rear-view mirror, 3-point seat belts for driver/passenger, and 2-point for rear, new Soft top “softopper.com” and bikini top & associated hardware. There are many more little misc items that have been replaced but too many to list. This truck turns heads and gets comments each and every time I drive it around. There are a few minor blemishes/chips in the paint but overall this truck is nearly perfect in every aspect. It starts right up and is very reliable.
