1971 Honda CB500 custom cafe racer! Started out as an all original bike that was tucked away in the corner and forgotten as the original owner got too busy with work to ride. Has been pretty much completely redone in the brat style cafe racer look with lots of new parts. This bike only had just over 14,000 original miles so it did not need an engine rebuild or anything mechanical wise other than a tune up and service. The carbs were fully cleaned and rebuilt, and the ignition has been adjusted back to factory specs. The engine is painted with a ceramic high temp engine paint as well as all of the old hardware has been swapped for new polished stainless bits. Individual dirtbike style airfilters and a new full stainless exhaust have also been fitted. It has a new lithium ion battery and a modern upgraded charging system. The tank is painted battleship grey which looks awesome with the powercoated black wheels. New vintage style Firestone tires. The bike has also been lowered professionally to give it the mean stance, along with aggressive clip-on style handlebars to complete the cafe look. The seat is a custom metal seat pan covered in real black leather with a double stitch diamond pattern. And the rear is finished off with a custom LED strip tail light which is hardly noticeable when it's off. This is the same tail light setup featured in the Ducati in the movie "Tron". Park this bike next to a $30,000 bagger and no one will even notice the Harley. Gets tons of attention everywhere it goes! It does have a working electric start but I recommend only using the kickstart because of the small battery. It is very easy to kick for even the inexperienced or smaller figured riders and will start first kick always. This is a great bike for anyone of any experience or skill level.
