Selling this 1975 Honda CB550 is gonna hurt - it's a gorgeous bike, but with several bikes, I just don't have time to ride them all! I bought this a few years ago from the second owner down in Minneapolis, MN who did a nearly complete restoration. It needs a little detailing to be a 100% perfect showbike, yet turns heads as is! It started as a 31,000 mile, very clean bike. Then everything was stripped, the frame was powder coated, engine rebuilt (retired Honda Tech spec'd out all components, new pistons, rings, valves lapped, gaskets, etc). The carbs were sent to a specialist and jetted for the Stainless Delkevic pipe and powder coated / polished. Pod filters installed. The wheels were sent to Buchanen and new D.I.D. rims were laced with stainless spokes and new Avons fitted. Brakes re-done, new cables, wiring, etc. The Candy Jade Green paint was pro done in Canada with hand painted stripes (not decals). The following parts are still original: seat, meters, grab rail, fenders. They are very nice, but the seat has some chrome coming off the trim, and of course there is some wear to the fenders and meter housings. I considered replacing these items, but it looks just fantastic as is from a few feet away, so I'll let the new owner decide on it. Includes owner's manual. This little Honda starts easily, runs great, handles / brakes very well. Only 202 miles since rebuild, just broken in. Sounds fantastic with the pods and full exhaust, and looks great. Gets much attention at local Bike Nites. Location is near Duluth, MN, about 130 miles north of the Twin Cities.
