Vehicle Detail
2011 Dodge Charger Pursuit Package Fleet maintained by contracted in house technicians. Repairs were billed to the city and not performed by city employees. * Super clean inside and out* Ice cold air conditioning* Absolutely no coolent, fuel, oil, or rain water leaks Excellent running and driving car with no Hemi tic, everything in car works like it should. Fully serviced and full of ethanol free gasoline.I only drove the car 80 miles after its servicing. Over all the fit and finish of this car is good for the exception of and some paint chips and scratches. I touched up what I could before polishing and buffing. All of the panels line up just right. The police antenna is not connected. The black trim paint around the side windows is worn down in areas. The car still looks good enough to get compliments, and respect on the road. The underside of the car is in good condition with no rust or indications of any previous body repairs. The plastic splash shields have there typical police car wear and tear. All of the panels are present and secure. I replaced some of the pop in fasteners with clip and bolt fasteners. The original fasteners seemed a little too loose in a couple of spots. I repaired some of the shields with urithand where police equipment was removed. This vehicle was taken out of service early due to an accident with a deer, and the arrival of replacement vehicles. This is the accident the auto check is reporting. I bought this car last summer, and took my time reconditioning it. I am good at preserving vehicles, and made the repairs, while periodically driving the car. The gasoline in the car has been replaced twice to prevent spoilage. * Replaced the hood with an original salvage part. Even though the replacement part was almost the same color gray I still painted both sides.* Reinstalled the Emissions sticker on the new hood.* Painted and replaced the front upper tie bar just for good measure as it was difficult to tell wheather or not it had been bent down in the area of the hood latch or not.* Installed a new front bumper complete with all grills and bracing* Installed new impact absorber, the original had been cut to allow for brush-guard. If you would like to see a photo of the car with the front bumper removed I can send it to you. The fender was not damaged at all. It just had some light scratches that would not buff out. I correctly prepared, painted, and clear coated all of these parts with very high quality paints in a spray booth separate from the car. I did not blend the parts in to the rest of the car. The cars finish still looks good. My reflection is the same when standing between the door and the fender. The original paint is a little faded. The only decal impressions on the car are on the trunk lid. I tried to buff them out but they are still noticeable. These decal impressions are more noticeable when it is hot and sunny outside, and far less noticeable when it is cool. I thought about installing a Daytona trunk decal. This would completely cover the impressions and improve the look of the car. Their are many inexpensive decal kits that availanble on eBay that could really improve this cars look, and cover up paint imperfections. I drive the identical car to this one almost every day, and really love the police car look, and ride quality. * Replaced all four of the ground illumination bulbs beneath each door* Replaced drivers door panel with a used 2014 pannel, due to original having wear* I bought a complete set of used 2014 Charger seats and carpets. I removed the apolstry from the front seats. I carefully installed them on the original seat frames. I pressure washed with hot water, and scrubbed before reassembly. The rear seat panels have pockets for storage.* Thoroughly Cleaned Head liner, the metal floor, and the carpets before reassembly. * I removed the vinyl rear bench and installed a used 2014 matching rear fold down back seat with latches.* Replaced door seals that showed signs of wear* Replaced both B Pillar covers because the originl covers had holes from the cage mounts. * The rear view mirror is worn around edges but still works fine* When you fold down the back seats you can still see the two small holes in the base of the rear package tray where light mounts were installed.* Steering wheel is worn as you can see in pictures. The interior of this car is in excellent condition. I have not put any air fresheners in this car after reassembly. This was a non smoker, Non K9, take home unit. I removed everything for cleaning basically to sort and oraganize police wiring. I cleaned and shined everything beacause I like my cars to look their very best. Auxiliary wiring is neatly located under the Havis Police center console. The arm rest is very adjustable and comfortable. All of the interior pieces are matching * Installed new Mopar original windshield washer nozzles* New windshield washer pump - The washer fluid is topped off with no leaks* Installed new battery’s in both key fobs* New upper and lower grill inserts* New front bumper * New headlights and bulbs* New fog lights I added a light coat of clear silicone to the back of the headlight and fog light lenses for extra protection. It rains all of the time here in GA And no consendation has formed in any of the lights. One of the headlights does have a scratch. The scratch is not that noticeable. * I pressure washed undercarriage * Replaced the passenger side lower strut arm* Installed brand new heavy duty front sway bar bushings The suspension front and rear is in really good shape . The car has a really nice stiff and tight ride * I Installed new heavy duty Wagner brake pads front and rear* The almost 14 inch slotted brake rotors are in like new condition and have never been turned.* Flushed the hydraulic brake system until only clear fluid remained * I flushed the power steering system with the recommended Pentosin CHF hydraulic fluid and replaced the pump resiviour with a new one because it was difficult to see when the fluid was level. This car is equipped with an electrical power steering pump. These pumps have a tendency to leak, so I took it apart, Cleaned components, and installed new O ring seals from the Dorman pump rebuild kit. I drove the car and reinspected. This is somewhat difficult as this pump is located inside the passenger side front splash shield. * I changed the rear differential oil with full synthetic 75w 140* Just Installed new cabin filters* Cleaned under the plastic vent Cowel* Painted the plastic vent cowel* Installed new Rain X Wiper blades* Changed engine oil and fitter with full synthetic oil and a fram filter* Cleaned and inspected the positive crank case ventilation valve I did not replace the coolant hoses myself but they are in good condition. The electric cooling fans were replaced every 50,000 Miles for preventative maintenance. The service sticker located on the cooling fans indicates the fan assembly was replaced at 140,570 miles - 12/1/2015 I do not know when the water pump was last replaced, however I do know the timing chain assembly was replaced in 2014 under a Chrysler recall and that repair required removal of the water pump. * Replaced door gaskets that looked worn* Neatly capped and secured any police wiring, prior to reinstalling the Havis Police Center console which was also cleaned. The heavy duty master switch still works and is connected directly to the battery in the trunk. I connected a fog light switch to one of the many power leads in conjunction with its own 10 amp fuse under the center console access pannel. The switch also powers all four of the cigarette style power outlets located on the console. The console also has an intergrated light up USB port located on the passenger side of the console. This port powers up when the ignition power is turned on, or when in the accessory mode. The arm rest has several different adjustments and makes the car very comfortable. The battery is a 900 cold cranking amp Napa Legond. It is in very good condition and holds a charge well. The battery is so long it can only be secured with the built in hold down strap. The bolt and plate are located in the trunk by the spare tire in a ziplock bag. This will work with a shorter battery. * Thoroughly Cleaned the trunk and battery compartment * Replaced the emergency trunk release latch assembly, the lights did not work when I bought the car but work now.* Installed a brand new unity spot light mounting kit as original was worn. The light is the original and works fine. The light stays nice and tight and can be easily angled when needed. The removable trunk floor pannel has some wear marksThe LED police ticket light works in both red and white light * Removed both fuel pumps and thoroughly cleaned both tanks with clean rags. Both fuel pumps are not original to the car.* Installed new O ring seals on both sides* Filled tank with Ethanol free gasoline* Added fuel stabilizer and Marvel mystery oil* Removed all 8 fuel injectors, Cleaned nozzle tips* Fogged the intake with both liquid and aresol Sea Foam* Installed complete set of Champion Eridium Spark plugsThe Hemi v8 Engine does not burn any oil. The Eridium plugs I removed from the engine looked like brand new.* The ignition coil boots look brand new as you can see in photo* Installed new engine air temp sensor* New drop in style K & N Air Cleaned I thoroughly flushed the cooling system with distilled water two times before refilling the system with the correct ratio of distilled water and HOAT GO5 organic coolant. The percent of Glycol is - 60 / 270 degree Fahrenheit - 510/ 132 degree centigrade The acid corrosion protection (Reserve Pelkalinity units) On a scale of one to ten. Ten being the highest protection level on the color chart. The coolant is a ten. * Changed the transmission fluid and filter with ATF+4 full synthetic fluid* Cleaned and painted the transmission oil pan* Added heat resistant cool tape to the transmission wiring harness for extra heat protection.* Inspected and Insulated any exposed wiring in the engine compartment * Installed a new Gates serpentine belt* Installed a new Mopar original Eoaporative emissions leak detection pump on the charcoal canister. * The OBD2 system has no faults stored in its memory* No check engine light or air bag light* The tire pressure monitoring system works and will tell you which tire needs air. * Just picked this car up from Dodge dealer. All recalls have been performed, to include airbag inflators. Dodge dealer just Installed a brand new Mopar 220 amp alternator. Tires * All 4 tires are Good Year Eagle, RSA high performance tires* Tires are evenly worn due to cross rotation every 5,000 miles* The tread depts are 7/32 NDS of an inch on 3 of the tires and 8/32 NDS on one of the tires. Brand new tires are 10/32 NDS, bad tires are in need of replacing are 4/32 NDS. These tires are right in the middle of their life span. The suspension and wheel alligument is perfect on this car.
