I am a long time bmw rider and sometime collector having owned around 15 bikes of various vintage. i bought the gs thinking i would replace my other oilhead r1150 but for me at 64 tears of age the gs is a bit too tall. it runs as quiet and smooth as any i've owned. rides shifts stops just as it should, goes straight as an arrow at high speed on cruises. I would stake my rep on ebay on being able to fly in and ride it home. it does need a new gas guard sender. 6 gallon tank. Battery is brand new.
