For Sale is my beautiful 2001 Porsche Boxster S. Since 2012 either myself or two of my friends have owned this car. Everyone that has owned it has been meticulous about the care and maintenance of this vehicle. You will not find a better example of a great driving Porsche at this price. Most notable is the faulty IMS Bearing Issue which receives a great amount of advertisement. Many Boxsters and Boxster S's advertised on this and other websites are silent on the issue of whether this has been addressed. DO NOT BUY A CAR THAT HAS NOT HAD THE BEARING UPGRADED WITH THE LN ENGINEERING IMS UPGRADE. I'm happy to say this has been done on this car at 27,000 miles, so no worry for you. As mentioned tremendous care has been given this car. The following is a partial list of the upgrades and maintenance done to this car in the last six years: IMS Bearing Upgrade with LN Engineering double row ceramic bearingJust completely rebuilt the manual transmission with new synchro's seals, and gearsNew Rear Main Seal, Dual Mass Flywheel, clutch, pressure plate when IMS upgradedRe-furbishment of the Cruise Control systemNew Bridgestone Potenza tires at 38,000 milesNew windshield wipersNew Cabin air filterOil and Filter change at 38,000 milesNew Fuel filter at 38,000 milesService transmission and replaced fluids during rebuildNew air filterNew CV inner and outer Boot AssembliesBrake fluid flushNew spark plug tubes and sealsNumerous other regular maintenance items, including religious oil changes every yearThere is one item, I haven't gotten to repairing yet, and it's minor. The right turn signal does not "cancel" after you make a right turn, you have to turn it off manually. It's a relatively easy repair, just a switch within the steering column that needs to be repaired. Just haven't gotten around to it, my bad. In addition to this great car, I have all documentation for last 4 owners, 2 keys, and a CUSTOM PORSCHE INDOOR CAR COVER, which will go with the car. The car is currently located in Durango CO.
