Vehicle Detail
I bought this vehicle to replace a 1999 Isuzu Trooper that had a motor lock up. I flip homes on the side, and need a vehicle to pull a cage trailer for building materials and clean up. But I found out that this vehicle is not suited for this, having a very low towing capacity. I saw a trailer hitch already installed, and this truck is 4wd so I just thought it could do the job. I did not have the truck 5k miles before the tranny quit. So I have rebuilt the transmission. The truck was missing a little, so I changed plugs and coil packs and while I was there, also changed the upper and lower intake gaskets as well as the head cover gaskets. I also changed both upper motor mounts due to originals showing dry rotted rubber. Still the truck seemed to have sluggish power, and I determined the front Pre Cat was clogged, so I replaced that and the main cat and the truck runs so much better. I still have the rear pre cat that will be placed in the truck area of this vehicle just in case it is needed. I have had the truck about 2 years now, and bought with 117k miles. I drive a Pruis daily as I am a real estate appraiser and need a gas sipper for work. This truck was just a situational vehicle for me. My name is Vincent Nutt. Google me I am easy to find. But please if you have questions about this vehicle. Just message me. I am slammed most of the time. I bought this vehicle from a Copart salvage auction. It was in China Grove NC. It sustained some minor damage in the front of the vehicle, no airbags were deployed. I put a front bumper cover, a fender, hood, and got a new pair of headlights. I also replaced the radiator, and AC condenser. I never buy cars that have been hit hard. Plus this truck had one of those big metal bumper guards on the front, which absorbed a good bit of the collision. I buy cars from Copart all the time because I know what I am looking for, and I have good vendors at my disposal to help me rebuild inexpensively. In fact I just finished an Acura MDX that will replace this vehicle until I get a motor to put in my old trusty Trooper. This is a passenger vehicle. It has auto 4WD which is great for driving in snow or slippery conditions. This can be a daily commuter, or a college students vehicle. I do not smoke and there is no foul odor in the truck. The seats are in pretty good shape. The center console has a couple of tears you may see in photos. The body has scratches in the paint, dents and dings. The truck came to me with doors that have leather like fabric glued onto the door panel. Every one of these was peeling off. My son has a Mustang with the same problem. I was at Pull A Part in my area and found an Escape that had hard plastic door panels top to bottom. They are beige instead of gray, but at least they look so much better! The body work from the collision was done on the cheap on purpose since I just wanted a legal truck to get the work done. It is not perfect by any means. The radiator support was not replaced, and still shows a little twist. Still the truck is presentable. When you haul a trailer, you can sort of feel the wiggle in the back end of the vehicle. The rear end of this truck is just not heavy enough for any serious towing. Great passenger truck though. Truck has pretty good tires too. Winning bidder to put a non refundable deposit of $300 within 48 hours unless buyer intends to pay in full within 3 days. This should cover any Ebay fees and lost marketing time in case you change you mind after the auction. Balance of funds to be in by bank wire within 1 week. Cash is acceptable if you are local, but exchanged at the bank for verification. I have addressed all of the "common issues" with this truck. Transmission, tune up, Front pre cat, and the doors issue. This truck is ready to give some one some dependable miles for cheap. I have easily over $4,000 in this vehicle. Maybe you will be the one that is the beneficiary of all my work done on this truck. I would keep the vehicle myself if it would tow well. I can help arrange shipping if you have never done that. I have done it plenty of times. It is so easy. I reserve the right to advertise the truck elsewhere, and if someone offers me $2,500 for the truck it is gone! Minimum bid only $1,800, but it should bring more than that! I do not care what book value is. This is now a dependable vehicle with very low risk of any major expense any time in the near future because of the $$ I have already spent coupled with the low miles.
