Vehicle Detail
This car has had a complete rotisserie restoration. Everything works correctly. All body and sheet metal are rust-free original. The car was stripped to bare metal and painted metallic-red. The stripes are painted-not decals. All weatherstriping and rubber seals were replaced. The windshield is new-all other glass is original. The rear window louver and spoiler are new after-market. The all-new interior copies the original Mach1 DeLuxe style. New parts include the dash cover, headliner, carpet, underlayment, seat upholstery, sun visors, door panels, sill plate covers, fold-down carpet and quarter panel walls. Power window actuators are after-market. The Tilt-steering wheel is custom wood. The radio is Custom Autosound AM/FM with CD. The powered automatic radio antenna is located in the right quarter panel. Door and dash speakers are new. The clock is rebuilt using a Quartz core. All dash gage windows are new. A carpeted false trunk floor protects the fuel tank and is level with the fold-down floor. This makes a floor from the trunk to the front seats. This floor is removable. The 351Cleveland 4V has 4-bolt mains and has had a complete overhaul top-to-bottom. It has open-chamber heads which use regular-grade gasoline (not premium). It has a new Edelbrock 4 barrel carburetor. It has a new Petronix distributor and coil. The radiator, hoses, heater core and hot-water valve are new, water-pump is remanufactured. Everything A/C from the condenser to the evaporator is new. It is a R134a system using a Sanden compressor. The automatic transmission was professionally restored. The shifting and kick-down work perfectly. The brake master cylinder, booster, distribution block, hoses, pads and shoes are all new. The slip yoke and universal joints are new. The shocks, upper and lower control arms are new. The power steering valve is rebuilt and the steering hoses are new. The worn-out original steering box was replaced by a new FlamingRiver box. The steering system requires very little effort- it is smooth-not loose. The car tracks perfectly. The exhaust uses the original cast iron manifolds and has all new pipes, crossover, mufflers and has the original stainless steel tips. The fuel tank, pump and level sensor are new. The four tires are BFG P225/60R15. The new Magnum 500 wheels come equipped with new caps, chrome valve stems and chrome nuts. Each wheel has a theft-deterrent nut. The car has "sport" lights and sequential hood and tail turn signals. The mileage is unknown not 30,000 as noted-Ebay requires a number. Everything on this car works as it should and with all the new parts and restoration it should be a "survivor" for many years to come.
