Vehicle Detail

1969 383 4 speed drop top, true RM Roadrunner with build sheet. There is no markings except HP on the engine. From the research on www.ForBBodiesonly.com it cannot be determined if the engine is original. Consensus believes it could be a factory warranty replacement engine prior to the car leaving the factory. Frame on 4 year old partial restoration, no rust on body. typical surface rust underneath but no cancer. *Body- new paint, new quarters, rockers, trunk pan. Great car for driver. *Engine- rebuilt by T&D machine in Kenmore, WA. The owner figured horsepower to be about 390, and a little over 400 if a clutch fan is installed. 383 new rebuild with about 800 miles on it. Line bored, 30 over, balanced and blueprinted. Engine was decked. Original pistons, 510 cam. New Holley dual feed 650 carburetor. MSD ignition, coil and distributor. . *Heads-port, polished and shaved. I believe there was over sized/race valves in it from previous rebuild. *Transmission-rebuilt by B&R transmission outside Tulsa, OK. Yes, I sent it to Oklahoma. Brian, the shop owner, has done many transmissions for the NHRA and NASCAR. He had the original transmission from a very low mile '69 Roadrunner. He used the original gears, not aftermarket. So the housing is matching number original transmission.*Interior- floor pans wire-wheeled and undercoated, new carpet, new upholstery on seats and headrests, with one of a kind roadrunners embroidered in. Currently working on rest of interior and gauges. Has aftermarket gauges installed under dash. No holes were drilled for gauges. *Top-new white convertible topRally wheels with rings, old school Leman's white letter tires, not available anymore, but tires are in great shape. Have roadrunner stickers, but have not put them on because wanted to polish car first. I have the build sheet. I am the 3rd owner and I know the original and 2nd owner. 2nd owner stored car in his shop for 15 years. If you want a GREAT classic muscle car convertible that runs well, looks great, but isn't perfect, Here is the car for you! Only 769 convertible 383 4 speed cars were made, a lot did not survive. Not a super rare car, but pretty rare!! Speedometer makes noise when hooked up, gas gauge reads 1/2 tank when full, oil pressure is not hooked up. Volt meter works fine Horn works and is Beep Beep. No leaks. Heater works, chip in front windshield, all windows work. RESERVE SET AT $32,000.00 GOOD LUCK
