Vehicle Detail
Another mini out of the collection- here is a 1989 Rover Mini 1000. This is an authentic RHD car, imported from Japan. The body has seen extensive modification to mimic the older "MK I" look. It has its original 998cc engine with 4 speed rod change gearbox. This is a smooth, reliable, and downright fun car. It has a clean AZ title. It has been driven 56k miles (90500 kilometers) Exterior consists of an interesting two toned paint scheme of Old English white with a Sea Green roof. It has small molded flares painted body color, and a "Monte Carlo" styled roof rack included. Notable MK I features include the converted rear panel to house the smaller more desirable tail lights. Also we see that the front trim and grille has been changed to the older "Mustache" style. Morris Cooper badging and the flip up license plate bracket are also noted. The nickname to this car is Dot, do to the blank numerical roundels. Also fitted are black bonnet stripes, and wing mirrors. This teeny mini sits on 12" Minilite wheels. The interior features a very classic look of off white and pastel greens. The seats were just reupholstered, and the jet black deluxe carpet just replaced. The light woods and hammered fixture finishes give it a very natural look. This cars dash has controls for AC as it can be refitted. Also note the aftermarket radio and speakers on the rear parcel shelf. An aftermarket wood finish steering wheel completes the interior. Under the bonnet we have a very reliable 998 engine, with a rebuilt HS4 carburetor. A polished alloy rocker cover and new seals were fitted, as well as a gloss black paint. A lot has been done to this car, and it is ready to go. Oil service, aftermarket spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor, radiator hoses, new clutch and brake master cylinders, choke cable, new fuel lines, rear wheel bearings and brake adjustment, camshaft polished, and performance K&N filter to name a few. This car also has been upgraded to coil springs and poly bushings for better handling, Heavy-Duty cv joints, 2.9 final drive (She cruises at 75 on freeways with no trouble), well as power disc brakes. It also has a nice toned exhaust for a subtle, yet aggressive sound. This is an excellent car for the price, very fun and a head turner. I am NOT interested in trades. Price is negotiable, open to offers. If you have any questions or would like to see my other classic minis for sale, feel free to call, text or email me. Also, if you are local in AZ, I am usually at the Scottsdale Pavilions car show every Saturday if you would like to see this one, or any other of mine & my collection partner's private collection.
